Prince entered the squash market in 1984 and since then has constantly
pioneered and has now firmly established itself as a leader in squash.

Product Innovations
Key landmarks have been:
1988 - Extender: By removing the throat bridge the main strings are extended and frame weight is
reduced for unprecedented lightweight power.
1989 - CTS: The Extender concept is improved with the Constant Taper System (CTS). A new beam
design with a wider cross section at the tip, tapering to a narrower dimension in the throat.
CTS expanded the sweet spot towards the tip.
1993 - Extender Lite 180, 185, 190: A radical shaped series of Extender racquets with a straight
teardrop shape and 10 main strings to achieve the fastest and most powerful racquet in
the game.
1997 - Power Ring: Prince revolutionized squash with this new patented technology. The main
strings wrap around an inverted ring in the throat. String bed resiliency is maximized resulting
in unprecedented power.
2000 - Triple Threat: A unique weight distribution system incorporating carbon-copper-titanium in
three strategic locations to improve the stability of the racquet resulting in an expanded
sweet spot in all directions.
2005 - O3 Technology: Large O-ports at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock positions on the frame significantly
reduce aerodynamic drag increasing swing speed by 24% and
enlarging sweet spot size by up to 59%.
2008 - O3 Speedport: Taking O3 technology to a new level with rectangular shaped ports for
greater power and racquet manoeuvrability.
2010 - EXO3 Technology: Large holes and string suspension inserts allow the strings freedom of
movement for an enhanced response even at the outer edges of the frame.
2014 - PowerBite: Re-engineered frame with open string pattern helps provide more power from
the back of the court while giving more control and ‘bite’ on the ball when required.
2016 - TeXtreme®: TeXtreme® woven laminates are developed with a thinner lighter structure and
straighter carbon fibres to create a composite material that is 20% lighter than traditional
graphite materials. Positioning TeXtreme® at 45 degree orientation at 2/10 positions on the
hoop reduces the torsional deformation of the racquet head at these critical zones by up
to 25%. This results in superior torsional stability at impact creating a bigger sweetspot for
unparalleled power, response & accuracy for all squash players.

MORE POWER, MORE ‘BITE’
PowerBite technology results from a completely new re-engineered frame with
a more open, equally spaced, string pattern. Effectively, less strings allow for
a faster head speed and the open pattern naturally generates more power
when hitting through the ball. Equal spacing of strings allows for consistent
hitting and feel. The larger string spaces also result in more ‘bite’ on the ball
when cutting low to the front wall.
