nautilus jewelry - Indian Valley Scuba
nautilus jewelry by Ricardo Vera Fine jewelry designer, Ricardo Vera has always had a strong connection with the sea. Born and raised in the coastal city of Callao, Peru. Ricardo spent his childhood summers in the small fishing villages along the Pacific Ocean…playing soccer and swimming…dreaming about his next move on the soccer field and the creatures below the surface of the ocean. As a young man, Vera moved with his family to the United States. While playing soccer and coaching Team USA Amateur Jr. Soccer, he apprenticed in some of the finest jewelry houses in New York City’s famed Diamond District. Ricardo honed his jewelry making skills over the next 15 years. During that time, Ricardo had an opportunity to learn scuba diving, an experience that opened his mind and heart further to the world he had only dreamed about. With each dive, Vera’s passion for the sea intensified...hand-carving blocks of wax into the shapes of Hammerheads, Manta Rays, Moray Eels, Sea Turtles, and Whales. In 1994, Nautilus Jewelry was born. Today, Ricardo Vera has over 450 pieces in his Sterling Silver and 18kt Gold Jewelry Collection. Known for his unique designs, distinct textures and incredible hand polished finishes, Ricardo captures the movement and beauty of the world beneath the sea. Nautilus Jewelry Inc. donates a portion of each sale to support Handicapped Scuba Programs. All designs - copyrighted and trademarked in the USA.
