father at the hospital when we had
this interview set up. He graciously

our deadline.)
recorded at Innovation Studios in
historic Steubenville, Ohio. At the
helm behind the board was Mike
Ofca, who really did a job we're
thrilled with!
How many
releases is this
for you? What
about it stands
out for you?

keep writing stronger and
stronger songs as time goes on.
Chip DiMonick: Uncaged was
no metal on those albums. There
were no love songs. So, if you
consider that we write metal songs
and love songs alongside punk
songs and your only measuring
stick of what punk is comes from the
late '70's, perhaps we're not punk.

time. I don't really know. I just
hope we're more punk than
Blink 182 was.
The release party for
“Uncaged” is April 1oth at
Hard Rock Cafe-- do you
have any other big shows
coming up?
Us
winning the Best
Punk Band award has definitely
caused some controversy. Do we
write and play punk songs?
Absolutely. Does the fact that we
write and play non-punk songs make
us not a punk band? Good question.
I mean, if you look at the classic punk
albums from 1976-1980, there was
Yes. In addition to the big
CD Release Party, we're
looking forward to opening for
Faster Pussycat on May 3 at Altar
Bar in Pittsburgh. By then, Uncaged
will have been in circulation for
close to a month, so we're hoping to
ride some momentum into that
show and make it special for the
hometown crowd!
