Duke claims its fifth NCAA National Championship (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010 and 2015), defeating
Wisconsin 68-63 before 71,149 in Indianapolis’
Lucas Oil Stadium ... a No. 1 seed for the 13th time,
the Blue Devils held each of their six tournament opponents to 63 or fewer points and had an average win margin
of 15.5 points.
 Led by No. 1 Duke, six ACC teams are ranked in
final coaches’ poll, including four in the top 10 and
five among the top 12 ... with two teams - Duke (4)
and Notre Dame (8) - listed in the top 10 of the final
Associated Press ranking, the ACC extends its streak
to 55 consecutive seasons with at least one team listed in the
top 10 of the final AP Poll.
With its 17-5 mark in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, the ACC
extends its non-losing streak in NCAA Tournament play to 28
years in a row ... the Big Ten is second with a streak of nine
straight non-losing seasons, while the SEC is third at six.
The ACC has won an NCAA-best six National Championships
over the past 15 years (2001-2015) ... the Big East is second
with four, the SEC (3) is third.

South Regional on March 20 at
Charlotte, N.C. Jahlil Okafor added

12 of their first 15. Duke connected

range as it improved to 33-6 in its
home state in the NCAAs and 46-9

Gonzaga 66-52 in the NCAA South
Region title game March 29. The Blue

16th time in program history and the

Wooden for most Final Four appearances by a head coach. Tyus Jones

Junior guard Olivier Hanlan led the ACC
in scoring (19.5) and ranked seventh in
3-point percentage (.353), eighth in field
goal percentage (.454), eighth in 3-pointers made (2.03) and 10th in assists (4.22) ... he also
led the league in minutes played at 37.62 per game
... Hanlan scored in double figures in 31 of 32 games,
including four games of 30 points or more ... graduate
student Aaron Brown finished with seven 20-point
scoring games, including a team-high 20 in a seasonending ACC Tournament loss to North Carolina.
Jaron Blossomgame more than doubled
his productivity from his freshman season
and led Clemson with 13.1 points and

freshman or sophomore to lead the Tigers in points

Grantham became the first freshman in school history

three times ... he scored 35 points against both North
Carolina (January 24) and Miami (February 25) and
scored 30 points against Clemson in the ACC Tournament (March 11) ... FSU (17-16) finished .500 or better

Georgia Tech’s 2014-15 strength of
schedule was ranked No. 24 in ESPN’s
RPI rankings, and its non-conference
strength of schedule ranked No. 68 ... Tech ranked
12th nationally in rebound margin (+7.3) and 11th in
offensive rebounds per game (14.3) ... Thirteen of
the Yellow Jacket’s 16 conference losses (including

The Cardinals finished their inaugural

The Wolfpack’s season, which began

Tournament run included an upset win over No.1 seed
Villanova in the third round of the East Regional ... the
Wolfpack finished the season with a 22-14 overall
record and a No. 24 ranking in the USA Today coaches
poll ... All-ACC guard Trevor Lacey led the Wolfpack
in scoring with 15.7 points per game.

... All-America senior guard Jerian Grant concluded
his Notre Dame career third in assists (690), fifth in
games started (117), fifth in steals (175), ninth in

Pittsburgh
Sophomore Jamel Artis closed out the
2014-15 season with his 18th consecutive double-figure scoring games
... Artis had 25 double-figure scoring games this
season and has 27 for his career ... senior Cameron
Wright concluded his career with 40 double-figure
games, including 15 this season ... with 19 wins,
the Panthers fell just short of their 14th consecutive
20-win season ... by earning a berth in the NIT, Pitt
(19-15) participated in postseason play for the 15th
consecutive season.
A crowd of 25,338 was on hand in the
Carrier Dome for the Orange’s 59-47 ACC
loss to No. 2 Virginia in the final home
game of the season March 2, assuring Syracuse of
leading the NCAA in attendance for the second straight
year ... the Orange averaged a Division I-best 23,854
in 2014-15 ... in his final game in an Orange uniform,
senior center Rakeem Christmas recorded his 12th
double-double of the season with 15 points and 12
rebounds, and added a game-high five blocked shots
in a 71-57 season-ending loss at NC State on March 7.
Virginia ended the season with a 30-4 record, tying the school record for wins in a
year (1981-82, 2013-14) ... the Cavaliers
became the first program in league history to win at
least 16 ACC regular-season games in back-to-back
years ... Tony Bennett became the ninth coach to be
named ACC Coach of the Year in consecutive seasons
... Bennett has three total coach of the year awards
(two ACC, one Pac-10) ... with 1,134 career points,
junior Malcolm Brogdon will enter next season in 39th
place on Virginia’s all-time scoring list.
The Hokies posted an 11-22 overall
record in their first season under
head coach Buzz Williams, including
a first-round win over Wake Forest in the opening
round of the ACC Tournament ... Jalen Hudson scored
a career-high 32 points to lead the win over Wake,
setting a new Virginia Tech record for points in an ACC
Tournament ... Virginia Tech freshmen accounted for
1,144 points this season ... that is the second-most
in school history, behind the 1,230 scored by the
freshman class of 2007-08.
Codi Miller-McIntyre recorded 20 points
or more in nine games this season,
including the final three games of the
year ... with his 23 points and 11 assists, against
Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament, the junior guard
became first Demon Deacon to post a 20 point/10
assist game since Chris Paul against Texas in 2004
and the first to do so in the ACC Tournament since
Randolph Childress put up 31 points and 10 assists
to lead Wake Forest past North Carolina in the 1995
championship game.

a 90-82 win in the championship game on March 14 … a
Greensboro Coliseum crowd of 22,026 looked on as Notre
Dame connected on 10 of 20 shots from 3-point range
and shot .542 percent overall … Pat Connaughton added
20 points, and three more Fighting Irish scored in double
figures to fend off a Tar Heel squad that, despite playing
its fourth game in as many days, shot .576 from the floor
in the second half and .530 overall … Notre Dame became
the first team outside of the original membership to win
the tournament in its first or second year in the league …
it was the first-ever conference tournament championship
for the Fighting Irish, who reached the semifinals of the
Big East Tournament on six occasions but never played in
the championship game … Grant and Connaughton were
joined on the All-Tournament first team by teammate Steve
Vasturia (14 points vs. UNC) and the North Carolina tandem
of point guard Marcus Paige and forward Brice Johnson,
who combined for 44 points in the championship game.
