ePortfolio Overview
The Studywiz ePortfolio enables students and teachers to store information about their academic and
extra curricular achievements in a flexible and portable format. Users can store a range of
achievement records in system-defined folders. These achievement records can then be added to
ePortfolio collections which can be published within or outside Studywiz.
As a teacher you have your own ePortfolio, and can also open and view your students’ ePortfolios.
1.1
Navigate to Your ePortfolio Page
Follow this procedure to open your Studywiz ePortfolio.
1.
Click the Tools button. The Tools page appears.
2.
Click the ePortfolio button. The My ePortfolio page appears.
From this page you can browse the ePortfolio by My Records, My Collections, and Showcase.
My Records
The My Records section is an archive of your achievements, interests, qualifications, skills and
training, and any other notable activity or event. Each record can be verified by evidence which can be
added to the record.
My Collections
The My Collections section (the Presentation and Transition segment of the ePortfolio) is a collection
of ePortfolio records that together show some aspect of your learning. You can build set collections by
selecting items from your My Records section. Most deployments are configured with a My Favourite
Work collection and a My Resume collection.
Showcase
The Showcase section enables you to search for and view another student’s published ePortfolio
collections.
For teachers the Showcase provides access to student ePortfolios.

My Records
The ‘My Records’ section is the centre of a Studywiz ePortfolio. It is where users store and organise
their records to demonstrate that they have met learning goals and requirements. In the My Records
section users can also add evidence of learning experiences from outside the formal learning
environment and can reflect on their work.
You can create nine different types of records:

My Collections
My Collections is a collection of ePortfolio records that together show some aspect of a user’s
learning. Users can build set collections by selecting items from their My Records section. Most
deployments are configured with a My Favourite Work collection and a My Resume collection.
A user cannot create their own collection type. Additional collection types and subsequent collection
sections can be added to the My Collections list by Studywiz support.
Once a collection has been published it can be viewed through Studywiz and can also be viewed from
a separate webpage which is password protected and delivered through Studywiz.
Collections published within Studywiz can be viewed by all Studywiz users in your school.
