SPORT HOSTING
EXPERIENCE
Lethbridge: A High Level View of Sport and Hospitality
“Without the Lethbridge Sport Council the 2011 Football
Canada Cup wouldn’t have been in Lethbridge, let alone be
the fantastic event it became. They were professional from
the beginning and sold everyone on the idea of Lethbridge
as a top notch host community then delivered in spades.”
Tim Enger, Football Alberta
“…they ensure the City of Lethbridge and other partners
are on board with events. It was not hard to sell (our) event
to Little League Canada with the community synergy that
starts with the Sport Council.”
Kevin Kvame, Little League Canada
“The Lethbridge Sport Council team brought a high level of
professionalism, hospitality and an amazing attention to detail
to the successful 2015 Skate Canada International bid. Their
community connections and relationships with the City of
Lethbridge, their ability to marshal people and partners and their
understanding of how sport events work and provide value to
their community were among the key factors we appreciated
as we awarded Lethbridge this prestigious international
competition.”
Donna Keough, Skate Canada Patinage Canada
