In addition, Berk-Tek cables comply to specifications for SIPRNet
(Secret Internet Protocol Router Network), DoD’s classified version
of the civilian Internet, and NIPRNet (Non-classified Internet Protocol
Router Network), both used to exchange sensitive information
between users.

Reliable product performance comes from the combination of
well-engineered products and precision manufacturing processes,
including on-going monitoring and testing. Berk-Tek manufacturing
facilities consistently exceed the stringent quality standards
specified by the TL9000 designation.
Many cable manufacturers may claim enhanced performance for
electrical characteristics, but Berk-Tek provides ETL Verification of
cable performance which significantly exceeds the ANSI/TIA-568-C and
ISO/IEC 11801 standards that have traditionally served as the industry
benchmarks. We are the first manufacturer to develop this program
at the component level, which focuses on the LANmark™ family of
Category 5e, 6 and 6a cables.

meet the highest quality standards. We carry NAFTA certificates for all of our materials and finished
goods and comply with Buy American requirements. In addition, all Berk-Tek products have passed
stringent safety flame and fire ratings by the National Electric Code (NEC) administered by National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and European fire test
standards through EN50266 and IEC 60332-3.
Reliable product performance results from well-engineered products and precise manufacturing
processes and programs. At the New Holland, PA, manufacturing facility, testing includes up to 68 cable
transmission parameters to ensure that the electrical performance characteristics will perform better
than industry standards.

installed today will work flawlessly for years to come. Together with
connectivity and cable management solutions from Legrand | Ortronics,
the NetClear® copper and fiber solutions offer a 25-year long-term,
warranty. Berk-Tek’s OASIS open architecture program provides flexibility
of connectivity partners and a comprehensive 15-year warranty. Both
warranties include installation excellence through our certified installers
programs, which include hands-on installation training.
Berk-Tek strives to be a leading corporate citizen by constantly
stepping up efforts to reduce their impact on the environment through
many sustainable development programs. All materials used in our
cables meet RoHS compliancy, as well as California’s Proposition 52,
focusing on safety in product materials, such as lead-free jacketing.
Berk-Tek’s aggressive recycling program includes reprocessing all copper
and jacketing scrap material from the manufacturing plant and putting
it back into useful applications, avoiding landfill. In addition, all cable
packaging — reels and cable boxes — are manufactured with recyclable
materials. With environmentally conscious manufacturing programs,
progressive employment policies and a pledge to maintain high-quality
facilities and jobs within the United States, we are committed not

Secure Fiber Optic Cabling Solutions
Fiber optic cable is the most secure media due to its inherent immunity to EMI and RFI and its innate robustness to
perform in wide temperature fluctuations. Berk-Tek’s fiber optic cable offerings reach the highest bandwidths, with the
longest distances and include single-mode, 62.5 micron or 50 micron for backbones or horizontal to 10 Gb/s and beyond.
All of Berk-Tek cables are available with a choice of optical fibers that exceed the industry’s OM1-OM4 specifications to
assure maximum signal integrity and scalability. Optical fiber cables are available with a variety of jacketing types including
armoring, suitable for the installed environment.

High-Performing Copper Cabling Solutions
Advanced, twisted-pair copper solutions are designed to support all applications — data networks, voice, security cameras,
access control and other links out to 100 meters. From 1 to 10 Gb/s speeds, Berk-Tek copper cables are engineered and
third-party verified to perform beyond the industry standards. When added protection and security is required, our shielded
cables provided maximum signal protection. All copper cables are available with standard or custom color jacketing for
circuit or application identification.
