DisneyOnIce.com • ticketmaster.com • 800-745-3000 Welcome to Oaklee’s Family Guide Dear Readers, The days may be getting shorter, but the heat and humidity of summer are gone, making Fall one of the best seasons in Chicago. Fall means harvest time in the Midwest, and this issue has information on apple picking (page 16), pumpkin patches (pages 16-18), and many fall festivals and Halloween events in our September (pages 5-14) and October (pages 19-28) calendars. Now that the kids are back in school and have outgrown last year’s clothes, check out our section on local Resale Events (pages 32). These events provide a great way to save money on all things kid related and also help raise funds for local mom’s clubs. You can earn money for your gently used children's items by being a vendor or volunteer at one of these sales. When the weather turns cooler and you’re ready to head indoors, check out our section on Indoor Fun and Museums (pages 29-30). You can get ready for the holidays by booking your Santa Express Train Ride tickets (page 34) now, since these events are already filling up. Speaking of holidays and parties, Oaklee’s has a NEW Party & Event Planning Guide coming in early October. Whether you're planning a birthday party, family reunion, group outing or another celebration, we'll have the info you need. Find your copy wherever you pick up Oaklee’s Family Guide. Don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter at www.oakleesguide.com for info on family fun, coupons and contests. We hope we’ve given you plenty of ideas and opportunities to Go Make Memories!
