You can find a tourist information centre inside the Gdańsk Glowny railway station.
There is also another one just opposite the Town Hall.

Sightseeing
Start from the Długa Ulica (Long Street) with its noteworthy buildings: the City Hall, the post office building with its
reconstructed interior, the Renaissance Ferber House dating back to 1560, the Renaissance Lion’s Castle from 1569, the
Schuman’s House with the statue of Zeus on its top.
The extension of the Długa Street constitutes Długi Targ (Long Market), a
place full of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops: the favourite meeting point
of both tourists and local residents.
Harbor Crane
After you pass through the Green Gate at the end of Long Street, you
will find yourself on the bank of the Motlawa River. The view from the
bridge gives you your first impression of life on Gdansk’s riverfront, but
the medieval harbor crane immediately draws your eye.
Looming over the water, this structure is a testament to
Gdansk’s historic relationship with the sea. The crane was
built in 1444, which makes it Europe’s oldest crane. If you
walk under the crane, you can view its inner workings with
its massive rope and gears.
Banks of the Motlawa River
Walk along the banks of the Motlawa river to find charming seafood
restaurants, amber and crystal vendors, shops carrying nautical wares,
floating cafes, the maritime museum, and historic sea-faring vessels.
High Gate or Upland Gate
Called either the High Gate or the Upland Gate, this silvery-gray brick
facade markes the beginning of Gdansk’s so-called Royal
Route, through which the king would pass on his visits
to the city. This 16th century gate was originally a part of
Gdansk’s defensive system, but it now stands as an isolated
structure. The bricks are unusual in that they bear a leaflike pattern, and overhead, you’ll see the crests of Gdansk,
Poland, and Prussia.
St. Mary’s Church
The Arch-cathedral St. Mary’s Church, often called “the crown of Gdańsk”
astonishes us with its enormity: it’s rated as the 6th church in the world for
its size. Built over the years 1243 – 1502. Its nave is 105 metre long, its roof
is covered with over 8 thousand square metres of red ceramic roofing tiles.

Oliwa Cathedral
A long brick basilica (107 m) with a transept and a
bypass around the presbytery. Built in stages during the
Romanesque and Gothic period. The Oliwa Cathedral is
best known for its massive, yet splendid rococo organ used
in organ concerts during the summer season.

Oliwa Park
The Oliwa Park is the last park left of the municipal gardens, that used to
be very numerous in the past. It is an oasis of beauty and silence in the
centre of the city, modelled on the examples of the Baroque French garden
art. The value of this park is exceptionally with its very rare plants and
flowers coming from almost all continents: astounding European larch and
Japanese larch, white chestnut tree as well as European chestnut, red oak
and English oak trees, American tulip trees, European white birch, magnolia
tree along with Douglas fir and a variety of other exotic trees.
Gdansk Fort
The post-fort complex is situated on a hill 50 m above the
sea level, located in the city centre, not far away from the
railway and bus stations. Composed of historic defence
constructions and a park, plus the educational and
recreational complex of Hewelianum.

Gdańsk is considered the Amber Capital of the World,
cultivating the tradition of amber craft for ages. The local
masters have developed their own amber processing
school, and the quality of their works is unrivalled. The Baltic
amber is actually hardened mineral resin original formed 40
million year ago.
Located in a renovated 18-century granary by the Motława
river, serves dishes from Polish and International cuisine. It
is the only mini brewery in Tri-City, in which are brewed 3
