Jaguares, Simbolos and Motifs Exhibit Feb. 4-8
Born in Oaxaca,Mexico, Robles is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor. His
work, which is inspired by the myths and symbols of the ancient traditions
of Mexico, has been exhibited in several galleries, including the Museo
Nacional de la Estampa in Mexico City, the Centro Cultural de Mexico in
Paris, France, the Biblioteca de la Havana in Cuba, and the Legion of Honor
and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California.

JazzHop Feb. 12

Sounds of Mardi Gras 2015 Feb. 12-15
Fresno Dixieland Society Sounds of Mardi Gras is determined to entertain
listeners and dancers alike. No other festival provides opportunity to

JUSTicia RUN Feb. 14
The first ten-point race in the Valley Runner of the Year Series. It includes
a 5K run, two-mile walk/run, and a quarter mile kids run. The race benefits
Clovis Police Foundation, Sierra Challenge Express Running Club and the
San Joaquin College of Law Student Bar Association.

Tower District Grand Mardi Gras Parade Feb. 15
Themed floats, krewes, bands, and all sorts of merriment and revelry! The
annual Mardi Gras Parade in the Tower begins at one o’clock and travels
east along Olive Avenue to Wishon for over an hour of revelry! The parade
theme this year is Jungle Safari Mardi Gras. Many nightspots will be hosting
individual Mardi Gras parties Fat Tuesday night.

San Joaquin Valley Town Hall Presents Amy Cuddy Feb. 18
Dr. Amy Cuddy, a Harvard Business School professor by day, is an Internet
sensation. Her TED Talk on “How Body Language Shapes Who You
Are” is among the most watched You Tube videos and her research on
stereotyping and discrimination led Time magazine to list her first among
their “game changers and innovators” of 2012. One of Business Insider’s
“50 Women Who Are Changing the World.”

Kerman FFA Annual Tri-Tip BBQ Dinner Feb. 21
The proceeds help support the many different FFA events that our students
attend, such as chapter meetings/activities, judging contest or leadership
conferences. It is a delicious dinner including homemade beans, salad,
and a dessert bar. The meal is prepared by local community members and
alumni.

UCP 10K Brian Sturgeon Run Feb. 28
This year, we add a new 10K and move the run into February. Aside from the
10K, we will also have a 5-mile walk, 2-mile walk/run and kids fun runs and
a kids zone! This will be the first 30 point run for the Pro Race Group 2015
Valley Runner of the Year Series.
