The DENTSPLY GAC 2016 Orthodontic World Congress is dedicated to bringing top quality
professional and clinical development to further the advancement and discussion within the
orthodontic community. This year’s conference will include notable speakers, workshops
tailored for orthodontists and staff, group discussions, and day and a half day of main
congress with 7 international speakers.
The 2016 OWC – Europe brings together orthodontists from around the world for an
afternoon of useful and interesting workshops and two days of meetings, insightful speakers,
recreation and plenty of networking time that we are sure will create a community of valuable

on treatment of complex cases where the CCO™ System is
integrated within the overall treatment plan of the patient.

Class III Treatment:
New Perspectives
Dr. Giuliano Maino
Class III malocclusion is one of the most
challenging malocclusion to be treated.
A non-surgical treatment protocol for
Class III malocclusions by using miniscrews and circunmaxillary sutures activation, and a new 3D
digital method to plan and insert miniscrews in the palatal
vault, will be shown. Results on 30 consecutive treated cases
will be discussed.
Beyond the smile

Beautiful teeth and a healthy smile are
seen as a sign of youth. Esthetics, however,
are only one goal of orthodontic
treatment, the more important ones
being oral health with good craniomandibular function and periodontal
stability long term. This lecture will discuss several aspects
of orthodontic treatment and setting orthodontic treatment
goals beyond the smile. And evidence shows that precision
beyond superficiality pays off!

they influence. You cannot fail to
influence any more than the pebble fails
to create a ripple. This session will explore our impact and
we’ll start with our own stories - the ones which dominate our
behavior. Then we’ll move on to explore facets of our leadership and skill to influence.
Effective techniques for
efficient retention and
relapse management
Prof. Dietmar Segner and
Dr. Dagmar Ibe
The presentation will show ways to preserve
the good results long-term and thereby positively influence the
reputation of your practice. Reliable retention methods can become
part of a better treatment and can be integrated into the practice
routine economically and organizationally. Nevertheless, slight relapses
may happen and it is advantageous to know how to correct such
small relapse problems without much effort and cost.

office with 3D technology
Dr. Yong-min Jo
The lecture will explain the process of
“digitalization” with an in-depth look into intraoral scanning and cast scanning. Only with the
right software processes can you organize
the “cast-less” orthodontic office and use the
digital workflow to your advantage. The lecture will answer questions
like: How does digital scanning work? What systems are out there?
The lecture will also examine the digital processes after the scan and
explain the impact of 3D printing for the orthodontic office.
