It clearly appears from the project feasibility study that reactivation of Zegrze Pomorskie airport is profitable, economically justified and has a chance to become a driving force for economic development of the entire Koszalin region. 3 „Koszalin” Subzone of Słupsk Special Economic Zone „Koszalin” Subzone SSEZ Zone of Organised Investment Activity Established 22.10.2003 within Słupsk Special Economic Zone on the area 22 ha After two enlargements in 2006 and 2007 - now it embraces 91 ha, of which 48 ha are free to invest. On 1.08.2011 Managing company submitted an application to extense Słupsk SEZ borders including 23 ha area of „Koszalin” Subzone. Councils of Ministers’ decision is pending. 4 „Koszalin” Subzone Słupsk SEZ investment assets • Perfect location and transport accesibility in the vicinity of national routes No 6 (Szczecin Gdaosk) and No 11 (Kołobrzeg – Poznao – Górny Śląsk) near planed motorways no S6 and no S11 junction. • Full technical infrastructure water, rain, sewage, electrical energy and natural gas (large capacity). In implementation project co-financed from RPO WZ 2007-2013 valued: 79,8 mln zł (EU funds co-financing: 39,9 mln zł) • Zoning in local spatial development plan: industrial production, logistic & warehouse centers. No investment obstacles. Max. allowed built-up area: up to 75%, max. height up to 25 m. • Plots division according to investor’s needs which means large savings. Min. plot area from 0,2 ha. • Friendly climate and numerous international contacts permanent contact with investor till launching plant •Preferences and tax incentives •Qualified professional staff 5 Tax incentives At the „Koszalin Subzone” of the Słupsk Special Economic Zone Exemption from state Company Income Tax due to investment outlays or creation of new jobs - up to max. 60% depending on the company size. Exemption from local real estate taxation for plots, buildings and edifices based on the de minimis principle (up to 200 000 EUR) for investors who posess valid permision to conduct business activity on the SEZ area. In other places within the city jurisdiction Four categories of local real estate tax exemptions for max. 3 years depending on investment outlays and number of new jobs created. 6 Investors in „Koszalin” Subzone of SSEZ active Nordglass Sp. z o.o. (Polish capital) manufacturing vehicle windscreens; 506 persons employed. Jeronimo Martins Dystrybucja (Portuguese capital) One of the biggest and most modern logistic centres for „Biedronka” network of grocer shops to serve the entire West Pomerania. Employment – 430 persons. 7 Investors in „Koszalin” Subzone of SSEZ active Jakob Hatteland Assembly (Norwegian capital) Planned production of monitors and computers for sea navigation. Currently company is changing its profile. Fabryka Flag Linea (Polish capital) manufacturing banners and flagpoles; 96 persons employed. 8 Investors in „Koszalin” Subzone of SSEZ active Q4GLASS ABJ Inwestor (Polish capital). Manufacturing advanced technology glass for construction sector. Expected employment: 24 persons. Romex (Polish capital) manufacturing milk tankers and steel tanks; 34 persons employed. 9 New investors in „Koszalin” Subzone of SSEZ Elfa Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o. o. (Swedish capital) – in October 2011 investor bought land plot with production hall in order to produce metal, wooden and plastic parts for creative storage systems. Expected employment: 140 employees. „ESPAN” Sp. z o. o. (Danish capital) – in October 2011 Investor bought land plot 15 004 m2. The investor plans to build fish processing plant and to create 40 workplaces. Opening production plant is planned III/IV quarter 2012. 10 Investors outside the Special Economic Zone From among the foreign investors that were attracted to locate their plants outside the special economic zone, thanks to direct efforts of the Mayor, special reference must be made to Royal Greenland Seafood – a worldwide leader, who built in Koszalin the most modern in Europe fish and seafood processing factory employing approx. 300 persons (opened June 2008). The company expects to further develop its activity and to employ approx. 700 persons. 11 Putting in operation the Technological Park A common project of the Municipality and Technical University of Koszalin The Technological Park has been established in a modernised building of the Technical University of Koszalin at ul. Partyzantów in 2009. Investors from the advanced and clean technology sectors, employing highly qualified specialists and creating innovative products as well as services of high added value, are being attracted to the Park. The first such company is REC Research and Engineering Center a manufacturer of software for worldwide groups from, among other, the motor and household equipment sectors. 12 Qualified professional staff There are 4 schools of university standing and several branches of universities from other cities lactated in Koszalin in which approx. 16 000 students are being educated.
