SAFETY
Our Aerial Adventure Park guides are all trained according to most recent industry standards.
At SkyTrek Adventure Park safety is our upmost concern. All of our equipment is certified, routinely inspected,
and is of the highest standard.
Training Session:
The Aerial Trekking Course Program starts with a training session. The guides will teach the students about
their equipment, and how to climb their way through the Aerial Trekking Course. All students have to
demonstrate their ability to follow company’s safety practices before entering the course.
We are always more than happy to
discuss our safety protocols in detail
if desired. Feel free to reach us at
250-837-9477
during
regular
operating hours.
ADVENTURE TOWER
The Adventure Tower is SkyTrek’s newest
attraction, and has quickly become a big hit with its
adrenaline pumping activities:
Sky Swing
Sky Drop
Climbing Walls
Log Climb
Sky Swing:
The 15m (almost 50ft!) high giant pendulum Sky Swing
can be done solo or with a friend.
Sky Drop:
The Skydrop is equally, if not more of a rush than the
Sky Swing. After climbing up the 40ft ladder the student
will stand on the Sky Drop platform to step off and do
the simulated freefall.
Climbing Walls:
The Climbing Walls offer many climbing routes enabling
students to climb next to each other, racing to the top!
A new Indiana Jones themed climbing wall has recently
been added to our Adventure tower!
Log Climb:
The log Climb is a string of "floating" logs created to
challenge and build the groups inner dynamic.
Jacobs Ladder (upon request):
This dynamic team challenge gets progressively harder
as you and your teammate assist each other up a slick
ladder made of giant logs. Create "human bonds" to
reach the top, but watch the logs... the higher you go,
the further they are.
AERIAL TREKKING COURSE
With a focus on teamwork, students navigate
through four progressive courses, each with a
collection of obstacles including Ziplines, climbing
walls, Tarzan swings and swinging logs. Each
course gets higher and harder making sure
participants are being challenged and having fun.
Green course
Blue course
(easy)
(intermediate)
Black course
(advanced)
Double Black Diamond
(the ultimate challenge)
Kids Tree Adventure
Jungle Gym
A great introduction to climbing for the kids. This
low ropes course will bring out their inner climbing
enthusiast and help to spark a lifelong appreciation
of adventure sport.
BC’s ultimate playground and it’s only for kids (2-12
years old)! They can climb across a giant spider
net, limbo under flying bats or speed down a fully
netted zipline! So fun, even the teachers are
jealous!
IMPORTANT
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Signing of a Release of Liability is required prior to participation, by all participants 19 years or older or by a
Parent or Legal Guardian of participants who are younger than 19. For the benefit of the group organizer, we
do have an online signing system available for our Release of Liability. You will be given instructions from
SkyTrek Adventure Park on how to create an account to ensure all forms have been completed.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Participants are required to complete a medical form to let us know of any medical conditions. Please ensure
that the group leader is aware of the medical conditions and passes the information to the park supervisor on
the day of your visit. For example, please ensure a student with asthma has an inhaler / EpiPen for
anaphylactic allergies etc.
RECOMMENDED GEAR
SkyTrek Adventure Park provides participants with a harness, helmet and all necessary safety equipment.
We recommend wearing:
Comfortable outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and for climbing trees.
Shoes or sport sandals: must have a strap around the heel - flip flops are not allowed.
Gloves are recommended but optional.
Do not wear jewelry such as long earrings, bracelets, necklaces, facial jewelry (piercings), rings etc.
Please ensure you tie your hair back.
Cameras can be taken into the trees using the strap to attach it to your harness or worn across the
body if it has a long strap.
SUPERVISION
We train students in groups of 10-15. We ask teachers to place students in these groups before they arrive at
the Park.
Organize your students into groups (A, B, C, D, etc.)
Students who are tall enough for the black course, as well as athletic and most likely to choose to
participate in the hardest and highest level should be placed in the first training groups.
Assign supervisors to students at the required ratio (1:10).
Review behaviour expectations for this field trip with your students and supervisors.
Give a copy of your confirmation letter to each of your supervisors and review the day's itinerary with
them, emphasizing which group (A, B, C, D, etc.) they have been assigned.
Arrange to arrive at SkyTrek Adventure Park at least 10 minutes prior to start of your school program.
Consider a pre-visit to SkyTrek Adventure Park. This can help in the planning of your school visit and is
FREE subject to arrangements being made prior to arrival.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Is SkyTrek Adventure Park open if it rains?
Yes! SkyTrek is open in the rain. We will postpone operation in the event of thunder, lighting or wind storm in
the immediate area. Please ensure your students are dressed appropriately for the weather. The weather can
change unexpectedly in the mountains.
How long does the school program take?
The program for the Aerial Trekking Course can take anywhere up to 3 hours for the first participating group
and the Kid’s Tree Adventure Course can take anywhere between 10-30 minutes. It depends on the number of
participants up in the trees and their fitness level. Please allow more time if you include the Adventure Tower
program.
What if a student does not wish to experience SkyTrek Adventure Park?
There is a trail on the ground below the entire Aerial Trekking Course, where anyone who chooses not to
participate in the course, as well as those who finish the course early, can walk underneath. It provides a
great place to watch, take photos, and cheer on friends, teachers and parents.
We also welcome you to visit and experience the Enchanted Forest at the same location. Please visit The
Enchanted Forest website for admission rates: http://enchantedforestbc.com/admission.html
