There is a 70/75 hp limit (see rules for specific details) on all watercraft. A Special Use Permit is available for watercraft over 75 hp. All watercraft not previously registered to your Candlewick Lake address must be inspected by Public Safety. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment for your inspection. Your unit and lot number preceded by CWL must be displayed on both sides of your watercraft. When registering your canoe or kayak, please bring in your current registration or water usage stamp. All boats require a new decal even though there is no charge. GUESTS – Guest watercraft are not allowed. FISHING PASSES RESIDENTS Fee Included In Dues Anyone age 16 and over is required to have an Illinois Fishing License and a Candlewick Fishing Permit in their immediate possession at all times while fishing at Candlewick Lake. Your Member ID serves as your Resident Fishing Permit. GUESTS Annual Pass (Good May 1st – April 30th) $30.00 each - Limit 4 per household Daily Pass $10.00 each - Limit 5 per day Three Day Pass (Consecutive Days) $15.00 – Limit 5 per day Anyone age 16 and over is required to have an Illinois Fishing License and a Guest Candlewick Fishing Permit in their immediate possession at all times while fishing at Candlewick Lake. Active duty military personnel and disabled veterans need to present a Military ID in lieu of an Illinois Fishing License and Candlewick Guest Fishing Permit. Guests may fish Candlewick Lake provided that the resident is on or within the immediate vicinity of the lake at all times. The immediate vicinity is defined as the shoreline or at their lakefront property. POOL PASSES ***** Children age 9 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone that is at least 16 years old. ***** RESIDENTS Fee Included In Dues Your Member ID will serve as your Resident Pool Pass. GUESTS Annual Pass (Good May 23rd – September 7th) $25.00 each - Limit 4 per household Daily Pass $5.00 each Residents must be with their guests while at the Candlewick Lake Pool. STORAGE SITES Large sites – Yearly Rental $145.00 Small sites – Yearly Rental $105.00 Storage Site locks will be changed on May 1st. Please renew your storage site and exchange your key. A copy of the state registration for all items placed in storage must be provided at the time of renewal. FITNESS CENTER RESIDENTS Regular Membership – (Available during regular hours of operation.) Fee Included In Dues Extended Hours Membership (Available Daily 5:00 am – 10:00 pm) Monthly Membership $10.00 Large Locker Rental – Monthly Rental $15.00 Small Locker Rental – Monthly Rental $10.00 Residents may use the Fitness Center during regular hours of operation by presenting a valid Member ID card. Residents wishing to use the Fitness Center before and/or after the regular hours of operation may purchase an extended hours membership. You must have a change of shoes to use the Fitness Center. A complete list of rules and policies regarding the Fitness Center will be available at the Recreation Center and on our website at http://www.candlewicklake.org. GUESTS Daily Pass $3.00 each Residents must be with their guests while at the Candlewick Lake Fitness Center. Protect Our Waters This is directed to ALL that boat on Candlewick Lake: STOP AQUATIC HITCHHIKERS! Prevent the transport of nuisance species. Clean all recreational equipment. www.ProtectYourWaters.net When you leave a body of water: • Remove any visible mud, plants, fish or animals before transporting equipment. • Drain water from equip (boat, motor, trailer, live wells) before transporting. • Clean and dry anything that comes into contact with water. • Never release plants, fish or animals into a body of water unless they came out of that body of water. 2015/2016 Member ID Card Information It is not necessary to renew your Member ID card if your Member ID card has your date of birth printed on it. If your Member ID card has been lost or stolen, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee. Member ID cards will be issued only to members in good standing. Member ID cards can be obtained at either the Candlewick Lake Recreation Center or the Administration Office. The following amenities will be included with your dues and will require a Member ID card. Your Member ID card must be presented at the time of service. If you do not have your Member ID card, additional fees may apply. All members of your family residing with you and wishing to use these amenities will be required to get a Member ID card. (A Member ID card will not be required for children under age 2.) Fireworks donations are now being accepted year round. Feel free to drop off donations at the office at anytime. Pickleball is every Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Rec Center. Zumba Mix – Up Play is casual and done in a round robin style. Keep in mind that our goal is to have fun, have some friendly competition, and get some fitness going on! Racquets and balls are supplied. This Zumba class will use high-energy Latin rhythms inter mixed with strength training and core work - plus Zumba step. Come and check out the hottest growing sport! All moves can be modified to fit your needs & skill levels, so don’t be afraid to give it a try. Once you try it, you will LOVE IT! Participants walk & march in place while working out to DVD’s. Tuesday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m. You will choose your own work out intensity & speed. We have a USTA Certified Instructor that would like to introduce your child to tennis. This class is for kids 8 to 10 years of age. Kids play on a shorter court, with a smaller racquets and a slower moving, lower-bouncing ball. Class Cost: $10.00 GYM RULES-MUST HAVE YOUR CWL ID WITH YOU YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING THE GYM. No one under the age of 9 may be in the Gym without an adult at least 18 years of age. No street shoes or dark soled tennis shoes are allowed. No pop, food, or gum is allowed. Guest day passes will be available for those 9 years of age and older for $2 and will only be sold to anyone who is with a CWL resident who has a proper ID. Takes less than one hour to prepare. You can add frozen vegetables during oven time. Peas would be colorful with flavor and texture. Serve with a side salad. INGREDIENTS: 8 oz. medium egg noodles 1/2 c. butter 1/3 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. chicken broth 1 c. milk 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 c. rotisserie or leftover chicken cooked & chopped 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1/3 c. onion chopped 2 tbs fresh parsley chopped 1/4 c. parmesan cheese grated DIRECTIONS: 1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain & set aside. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside. 3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter; gradually add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add chicken broth & milk; increase heat to medium & cook until mixture is slightly thickened & bubbly. Stir in salt & pepper; set aside. 4. In a large bowl, combine noodles, chicken, mushrooms, onion, & parsley; stir in sauce. 5. Spoon mixture into baking dish & sprinkle with cheese. 6. Bake uncovered 25 minutes or until heated through. After Labor Day the evening hours change to sunset. • No Wake Zone applies to bays and up to 200 feet outwardly of the shoreline and 50 feet outwardly of buoys and other markers designating restricted areas. • Boats must never exceed a speed that is safe and reasonable for prevailing conditions, and never above 30 mph. • No boat may exceed a No Wake speed while inside of marker buoys or other designated restricted areas. • Each boat operator is required to know the Boat Registration and Safety Act. • Any boat operator involved in a boating accident must report it to the Public Safety Department and appropriate law enforcement agencies. • No wake means – idle speed only. Idle Speed is defined as no advancing the throttle of the engine after engaging the unit to the idle position and further meaning no cresting curl to the water.
