April 29, 2014, Peachtree City, Georgia ** For Immediate Release ** ® NAECO acquires competitor product lines ® Established in 1999, NAECO , LLC (NAECO) is a worldwide supplier of electrical contacts, assemblies and machine parts to electrical contact manufacturers and electromechanical device manufacturers. With its roots to 1916 as the Mallory Metallurgical Company, CMW International Incorporated, based in Indianapolis Indiana, operated three major business units: Electrical Contacts, Heavy Metals and Welding Products. In early April, NAECO completed the purchase of the CMW Electrical Contacts business and the CMW Heavy Metals business. NAECO now owns tooling, inventory, machinery, Intellectual Property and technical know‐how of these businesses. Steve Jones, former Sales Manager for CMW, has worked for NAECO since 2011, and is now NAECO’s Director of Sales. “This acquisition complements our existing capabilities very well. CMW’s former Electrical Contacts and Heavy Metals customers can look forward to a smooth transition and a stable supply. “ “NAECO is a service‐focused manufacturer who offers a broader product line, more innovative inventory systems and deeper support capabilities than CMW could. However, CMW was a strong company in many areas and we can now integrate their proud history and legacy of recognized materials into our own” adds David Bergmann, President of NAECO. ® ® The former CMW Heavy Metals line will now be known as NAECOMET Heavy Metals, and will include the NO CHAT ® ® ® ® ® products. CMW 1000, CMW 2000, CMW 3000 and CMW 3950/3970 products are now NAECOMET 1000, ® ® ® NAECOMET 2000, NAECOMET 3000 and NAECOMET 3950/3970, respectively. These specialty metals are used for weights, counterbalances and shielding. They serve as critical materials to balance and stabilize products used in the Aerospace, Military and defense industries, where the desire is to balance moving parts such as helicopter blades, ordnance, missiles and other dynamic objects. These materials are also important for sporting goods applications for achieving precise balance of racecars, firearms, tennis rackets and more. These high‐density materials also have important medical applications for shielding within diagnostic equipment. ® NAECOMET heavy metals, will continue to meet MIL‐T‐2101, AMS77250, ASTM B777 specifications for Class 1, Class 2, Class 3 and Class 4 tungsten. Where applicable, the materials will continue to be DFARS/ITAR compliant. Large mass in a small space is required to balance and stabilize control surfaces operating at high speeds. A savings in total aircraft weight can result from the use of these materials because the small high density piece requires less surrounding material to enclose it. In addition, the high strength of the material permits the part to be located for the most efficient weight effect and therefore uses the minimum amount of material. NAECO, LLC. enjoys a long history of supplying technical materials for the aerospace, military and defense industries. Whether you desire to balance helicopter rotor blades, stabilize control surfaces of ailerons or rudder sections, or position the fore‐cone of a missile, NAECO tungsten‐based, high‐ density metals make an excellent choice for your demanding applications. Precision Machined Weights & Counterbalances NAECO® supplies material in a variety of forms such as as‐sintered, near net‐shape, or precision‐machined to your exact specifications. These materials meet existing ML‐T‐21014, AMS7725D and ASTM B777 specifications for Class 1, Class 2, Class 3 and Class 4 tungsten. All of our materials meet your DFARS and ITAR requirements. If you are looking for a better solution for your weights and counterbalance needs, please contact us to discuss the properties, manufacturability and availability of our high‐ density metals.
