Throughout the years, the terminal has constantly improved. In 2012, there have been major investments: a dome and a building have been built offering over 10,220 m² of storage from which 2,787 m² with climate control. In 2014, a new terminal for wood pellets will be in operation. It will comprise one unloading wagon system, a conveyors system, two pellet silos and one ship loader. This will make Québec City the port par excellence for the export of wood pellets to Europe. Accessible year-long, the terminal is equipped to handle dry bulk, steel and breakbulk.
