Hi-Profile is “The primary profile for broadcast and disc storage applications,
particularly for high-definition television applications.

the current choice as used in Sunell NVR and Network Cameras
solutions.

Talking the same language as everyone else is key to having a product which
can plug into anywhere with the easiest of effort. Onvif embraces this very point
which Sunell prides as being a FULL member, with all products meeting ProfileS level of compliance. This meets the needs such as motion detection events,
PTZ co-ordinates, edge storage etc..
SDK (Software Development Kit) lets you talk to our devices at the lowest level
whilst retaining compatibility for now and future. We provide SDK for developers
and ready sample code for Windows and Linux systems. SDK covers both
Cameras and also now includes the NVR units.
CGI (Common Gateway Interface) is the latest addition to Sunell Network
cameras, where you can now be able to tie into all history methods of control,
video over HTTP etc, all from HTTP requests, CGI gives the faster method to
connect to the devices for rapid development.

Dynamic cameras need the highest level of technology, due to the nature of
the true WDR function, the images from two exposures need to be taken, so to
keep a real-time frame rate, you need to process twice as many images in same time. Only
with a DSP core suitable to achieve this, is just one of the features from the Xarina solutions

Xarina
solutions need the sensor to match, the perfect partners are naturally the
Sony IMX139 & IMX140 Exmor sensors, which cater for double exposure
to give the excellent WDR performances, also providing the deep 12bit colours as also low
light sensitivity levels.
Below is simple example of the WDR differences from Xarina solutions, normal requirements
for WDR is where outside exposure would make darken the image due to high contrast, with
Xarina - Exmor WDR combination the images on right look exceptional.

Sensor Technology
Every Pixel Counts.
The latest in sensor developments in the Exmor range, and now
part of the Sunell 1080p range, where previous IMX122 sensor was ground breaking in
performances, the new IMX222 goes one step better. Being now a NIR sensor. Improvements
in visible light, infrared light, better crosstalk, and also infrared light performances are all
improved.
MAGIC! The technology comes down to the increase depth of the photo diode which increase
light naturally, but reducing the substrate means the actual sensor does not increase any
size. A deeper photo diode will improve on the issue where wavelength of IR light is going to
generate cross talk, and would then decrease the perceived resolution.

Every Pixel Counts.

Cameras require advance high speed processing, to obtain the video streams with
high quality not just encoding, but also for picture exposure shutter control, and white
balance. With analogue CCTV products this was part of the DSP, so except for the quality of
elements like the lens and filters made much of a difference between many manufactures.
The below image gives you an idea of resolution scale between 5Mega-Pixel down to D1
resolution, as you can see the D1 image is one 16th of a 5Mega-pixel.
Technology
However bigger does not always mean better, lens quality is a big factor with 3Mega and
5Mega cameras. A true 5Mega Pixel lens has a vastly increased price. With more small
pixels low light level. Notice also differences in aspect ratio from resolutions. Where CCTV
historically has been 5:4 ratio. Mega pixel is moved to 16:9 ratio which is now the common
monitor display aspect. CRT monitors are now all but obsolete. Wide screen is the future.

TV Lines.
With any IP camera more pixels don’t decide on high quality images. So at Sunell we use
the best available methods to measure and benchmark our products too. Using a public
software application HYRES which is designed to measure against the standard ISO 12233
resolution chart. So there is no subjective thinking, the process is logical software which
processing the image captures and gives a value result. Many factors can make an image
look nice visually with noise reduction anti-aliasing, and other such tricks can be employed
to make you think you are getting high quality images. But definition to the pixel indicates a
true performance and high quality technology, and not just offering a large pixel size.

which would give an otherwise false reading.

Zoom modules and cameras need high level of development, using the latest 3A algorithms fully
developed my Sunell, we offer both complete camera with zoom, as well as zoom blocks with fit into
PTZ cameras. Unique is the Effio™ Module using only 1/3 Inch technology for low light and high
performance, whilst offering a lower optical zoom, the effective zoom compared to the typical 1/4 inch
makes for a longer distance and angle coverage.
