DEAR THEATREGOER,
THE MANFREDS WITH PAUL JONES
We are thrilled to welcome back Jenny Seagrove in the chilling tale of The Governess for two weeks in
May. Then following a sold out tour, Whingeing Women will be stopping by in July; and looking to the end
of the summer we have a fantastic back-to-back line up of Soul Sister and Save The Last Dance For Me.
With sizzling hot shows like this, we won’t be booking any summer holidays abroad this year!
24 March 7.30pm
The Manfreds, with original front man Paul Jones, will be performing
many of the tracks from the highly acclaimed album ‘The Five Faces
Of Manfred Mann’, re-released as part of their 50th anniversary
celebrations. They’ll also be performing some of their biggest hits
including 5-4-3-2-1, Do Wah Diddy, Sha La La, Mighty Quinn and
Pretty Flamingo. Paul Jones, with his award winning harmonica sound,
will be joined by Mike Hugg on keyboards, Tom McGuinness on lead
guitar, Rob Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass guitar and
Simon Currie on saxophone and flute.
JAKE & ELWOOD ARE THE BLUES BROTHERS

Spring is just around the corner, and we cannot wait to get out of our thermals! Our new Spring/Summer
season will keep you entertained through those inevitable April showers…
Firstly, it’s your last chance to book for two outstanding West End productions! We have The National
Theatre’s The Pitmen Painters, and the Olivier award winning comedy The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice – the
perfect present for Mother’s Day!
Our incredible line-up includes – Maurice’s Jubilee, the story of a Royal enduring love; Mike Leigh’s classic
comedy Abigail’s Party; and politically-charged comical brilliance from Yes, Prime Minister.
After last years pantomime Jack And The Beanstalk broke all attendance records, we can now reveal that this
years traditional family pantomime will be the magical tale of ALADDIN! Windsor favourites Steven Blakeley
and Kevin Cruise will be returning with more comedy mayhem, and the incredibly talented Mr Blakeley will
be writing and directing the show again!
Tickets are on sale now – and for our loyal panto fans we are freezing all seats at 2012 prices so grab this
Early Bird offer before it flies away on a magic carpet!
I look forward to seeing you at Theatre Royal Windsor very soon.

For sixty years Helena has been the Queen of Maurice’s heart,
but a distant memory of Her Majesty The Queen also sparkles
brightly in this retired jeweller’s mind. Entrusted a lifetime ago
with the Crown Jewels and a royal pledge, Maurice insists that
his ninetieth birthday will be one worth waiting for. The
critically acclaimed smash hit of Edinburgh 2012, Maurice’s
Jubilee is the hilariously funny and moving tale of an ordinary
man’s enduring commitment to a dream, and of a love triangle
with a regal twist. Starring double Olivier Award winner Julian
Glover, Gay Soper (Sunday In The Park With George) and
Olivier Award winner Nichola McAuliffe (Surgical Spirit,
Coronation Street) in her unmissable self-penned new comedy.

THE INDEPENDENT
SOUNDS OF THE GLENN MILLER ERA
14 July 7.30pm
The lights soften, the mood settles. An audience waits for that first
moment of sound. The Big Band is poised, relaxed, but with eyes
anxious for the lead. Then, as if giving body to an echo, the murmured
notes of ‘Moonlight Serenade’…and the night, it seems, is suddenly
full and timeless.
Recapture the sounds of a bygone era as the Nick Ross Orchestra
presents ‘an unmissable evening of music and song’ – the Classic Big
Band Sound of the 1940s.
MAGIC – A KIND OF QUEEN

Thu 2.30pm, Sat 4.45pm
The first and still the best tribute to Queen, perform all of Queen’s hits!
With five vocals to back up the powerful lead vocal of the dynamic Roger
Brown, Magic can recreate all the complex harmonies that are Queen’s
trademark recording sound. This, along with two guitars, bass, drums and
the brilliant piano and keyboard skills of Dave Chapman produce a sound
that is second to none. Not attempting to emulate Queen visually, Magic
creates all the excitement of a Queen live show, not to be missed.

Unceremoniously uprooted from her humble family home,
intelligent young Fanny Price is dropped into the bustling,
aristocratic household of her uncle, Sir Thomas Bertram, where
she finds herself buffeted from one crisis to the next. Yet
throughout this turmoil one thing remains a constant – her
love for the generous, worthy and steadfast Edmund Bertram.
But will this love be her salvation? Or will she be forced to
marry the charismatic Henry Crawford for connections and
wealth alone?
A must-see for lovers of Jane Austen and classic drama, from
the country’s last remaining Regency Theatre.

Television journalist James Highwood has made his career out
of challenging the British Justice system in his documentary
programmes. Now, suddenly, he finds the system challenging
him as he is brought to court on a charge of murder. Highwood
admits the killing but perversely chooses to defend himself,
pushing the tolerance of the court to its limits.
Tom Conti is brilliantly suited to the part of James Highwood
in this gripping courtroom drama. With more than its share of
surprising twists and turns, it will keep you guessing until the
very end - not to be missed!
