Snaidero Rino S.p.A. was founded as a small cabinetry
shop in Majano, Italy (north of Venice) in 1946 by Mr.
Rino Snaidero. Today Snaidero is the top exporter of all

Snaidero began concentrating on the concept of a
personalized kitchen environment for a new and more

Green Design
Snaidero utilizes wood panels made with low formaldehyde emitting glues and resins,
in compliance with the LFE E1 international certification and within the standards set by the
California Air Resources Board (CARB), considered among the strictest in the world.
Snaidero uses non-toxic, water-based paints characterized by very low levels of organic
solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Snaidero USA is a member of the United States Green Building Council, the governing agency
defining the standards for LEED certifications.
For multihousing projects, Snaidero USA offers cabinetry with materials, component parts and
production processing that meet the LEED criteria for low emissions pertaining to the
“NO ADDED UREA FORMALDEHYDE resins” specification (Credit EQ 4.4 low emitting composite
materials). The cabinetry can help receive LEED points towards silver/gold/platinum
certification by the USGBC.
Snaidero holds the UNI EN ISO 14001 certification awarded by IQNet for the company’s ability
to deal with emergencies that may cause harmful consequences for the environment.

generated by its production sites:
• Reduction of waste produced by 90%.
• Constant recycling of: iron, steel, aluminum-copper, polyethylene, polystyrene, paper,
cardboard and wood.
• Water consumption during production: reduced by more than 50% since 1999.
• Fuel consumption: decreased over 80% since 1999.
• Production of non-recyclable solid waste: reduced by 89% since 1995.

1 Consultation
Our designers will perform an initial site visit for
a fee and will take measurements and photos

2 Estimate
Client will review the preliminary estimate.
3 Retainer
Upon the client’s approval of the preliminary
estimate the designer will accept a retainer
from the client in the amount of $6,000.
4 Drawings
The designer will begin to generate working
drawings for the kitchen project.
5 Order
Once the client is satisfied with the design
Snaidero USA requires a total deposit of 50%
prior to ordering the cabinets. Balance due is
required once the cabinetry has arrived in the
United States.

Sandra Mora
Designer Biography
During Sandra’s tenure at Florida’s International University’s School of Architecture she developed
a passion for the culinary arts. During her exposure to the craft she began to form a deeper
understanding of the kitchen space and how it must be designed as a highly efficient working
environment. It was here Sandra realized that beautiful food comes from beautifully designed
spaces. Sandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and has since been working in
NYC, while often also implementing her design savvy throughout the nation. For the past 7 years
she has been delivering some of the most efficient and beautiful kitchen spaces, collaborating
frequently with top NYC architects, designers and developers on high end projects in NYC and
around the US.

Lorena Polon
Designer Biography
Shortly after Lorena obtained her BFA in Interior Design she discovered her love for kitchens.
Lorena first began her career working for one of the Northeast’s most exclusive residential
architects. It was through this experience that she became interested in the creation of
environments that were highly functional as well as fashionable. Lorena has since specialized in
the design of kitchen spaces for almost 20 years. Throughout this time she has proven herself to
be a highly industrious and creative designer allowing her to work on some of the area’s most
exclusive projects. Lorena has created award winning spaces and her work has been showcased
in numerous top design publications. Lorena’s collaboration with Snaidero USA has been nothing
short of extraordinary.
“My clients are as unique as our products. Each space is carefully designed to reflect not only the
needs of the clients, but the beauty of the Snaidero product. Finding the right balance between
form and function is the key to a great kitchen space. Providing excellent customer service is the

Remonda Estefanous
Designer Biography
Remonda Restefanous explored the fields of photography and printed design for nearly a decade
before she discovered her true passion was Interior Design. After maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA
and making the Dean’s Honor Roll for the best of design, she graduated from The Art Institute of
NYC with a BFA in the field of Interior Design. She worked as an assistant designer in Alabama for
several years before recently moving back to NYC.
Remonda’s experience with the more traditional design of southern home cooks has allowed
her to bring a sensible functionality to her kitchen designs, with a contemporary edge made for
Manhattan. Her BFA in photography and printed design has allowed her to truly appreciate the
style and design of decorative elements, but it’s her understanding of functionality that makes the
flow and circulation of her designs paramount.
“What inspires me most about kitchen design is the idea that I have the power and ability to make
a person feel a certain way simply from just being in a space. As a designer you never stop looking,
you actually look deeper and harder, something that influences your everyday life. You start to
appreciate the little details in life and grow a sense of
appreciation and taste for beauty.”

For the owners of this Bernardsville, NJ, home, renovating their
kitchen not only meant creating a functional and practical
space, but also infusing it with some serious style. “They wanted an Italian kitchen,” said Lorena Polon, senior designer at
Snaidero USA, New York, who worked closely with the couple
during the transformation. And that’s exactly what they got.
From the ceiling to the floor, clean lines dominate this contemporary kitchen, providing depth as well as a modern
sense of sophistication.
Because the kitchen adjoins the family room—which
before the remodel was separated by a half wall—one of
Polon’s main goals was to connect the two areas to create
one cohesive space. Now measuring 900 sq. ft. (approximately 400 sq. ft. of which belongs to the kitchen), the combined room has a unified aesthetic thanks in part to the
kitchen cabinetry, which Polon also put to work in the family
room to bring the formerly distinct areas together.
Visually elongating the already lengthy room, this dark
cabinetry lines both sides of the kitchen and makes up the
base of the island, which, with its uninterrupted wood panels,
showcases the beauty of the coffee-brown larch wood and
its wire-brushed finish. “It really brings out the graining and has
a beautiful texture to it,” said Polon, a quality that also
imbues the kitchen with a formal, furniture-like feel.
Resulting from the abundance of base cabinets, the
kitchen has not one, but three expansive countertops—in
addition to a very long dining table—which each play their
own role in the set up of the kitchen’s work areas. “The homeowners had a direction. They knew how they wanted to
divide the space and how they wanted to use it,” said Polon.
Consequently, one side of the island is designated for the
cooks and the other side for the clients’ children and guests.
There’s also a section at the back of the kitchen that serves
as a bar/entertainment area.
As well as a professional-style cooktop and double ovens,
the cook’s area is equipped with a large, single-bowl sink; a
dishwasher, integrated into cabinetry with a matching door
panel; a pot filler; and storage drawers with a stainless chan-
styling and you’ve got an Italian kitchen with sophistication to spare. The kitchen contains designated areas for the cooks, the children and
the guests. Behind the island is dedicated to the cooks, but on the
opposite side, the clients’ kids and guests can congregate around the
dining table (below), help themselves to beverages or relax in the family
room (bottom) without getting in the way.
can be used from both sides thanks to a centered faucet installed on a
swivel. The island also provides an alternative sitting area to the dining
table. At the end closest to the family room, the base cabinetry has
been replaced by two tapered legs so stools can be pulled up under
the countertop.
Not to be forgotten, at the back of the room behind the kids’ area,
the bar/entertainment zone contains all of the kitchen’s refrigeration.
Two wine refrigerators—one for red and one for white—are flanked by
separate refrigerator and freezer units that have been integrated into
the cabinetry with matching door panels. This way, guests and kids alike
can help themselves to drinks and snacks.
To keep the kitchen light despite the dark cabinetry, Polon chose
white quartz countertops with a special edge, backsplashes made up
of 3/8-in. squares of Asos marble—“tiny chiclets that have a sparkle and
shimmer to them,” she said—large-format light-colored porcelain floor
tiles and oversized white pendants that create a soft glow.
“It’s really a kitchen that I think came together very well,” said Polon.
