Capitola Village is filled with restaurants for every taste,
and charming boutiques to satisfy a shopper’s dream.
Stroll the Festival sipping exceptional wines and admiring
artistic talent. Sway to the music while taking in the ocean
breeze and breathtaking view of the Monterey Bay. Art,
wine, music and gourmet cuisine in the enchanting
beach-side setting of Capitola Village…summer’s last
hurrah, and truly a weekend in paradise!
MAIA NEGRE 2015 FESTIVAL POSTER ARTIST
Working with oil paints, her work captures the ethereal
quality and fluidity of the ocean itself, whether she is
painting a surf scene, coastal landscape, or abstract floral
arrangement. Her painting for the 2015 Capitola Art and
Wine Festival depicts a serene overview of our charming
Capitola Village and Soquel Creek, from a light and
weightless perspective viewing the land, sea, and sky.
SONDI CARCELLO
It’s Wine Tyme
Maia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Painting
and minor in Business from San Jose State University. In
addition to being a full time artist, she also designs and distributes her private line of art products to health
foods stores and boutiques throughout the West Coast.

Previous posters by Maia Negre include the Comerica Bank Challenger Tennis Tournament, Women on
Waves Surf Festival, and the Sandman Triathlon.
KIMBER DE MARTIN
Sign Authority
Most recently Maia completed a 100-foot long mural, depicting a local beach scene surrounded by thousands
of begonia flowers on Wharf Road in Capitola, with fellow artist John Ton.

NEW THIS YEAR… A LOCAL ARTISANS MARKETPLACE
Located behind the Mercantile between Esplanade and San Jose, be on the lookout for
the new Local Artisans Marketplace. Not only is Santa Cruz a mecca for artistic talent, but
culinary concoctions as well. The marketplace will feature locally made jams and mustards
from Twins Kitchen, honey from Bee Humble Apiaries, ice cream made from scratch by
The Penny Ice Creamery, gourmet crisp rice bars from MAKSE Bar, organic coffee from
Hidden Fortress Micro Farm, mole sauce from My Mom’s Mole, and hand crafted bath and
body products from Hip & Chick Organiks. Sample the goods at the Festival and bring
home the amazing flavors only found in Santa Cruz County!
KIDS ART & JUICE FESTIVAL
The Kids Art & Juice Festival, located on the grass on Lawn Way in the
center of the Festival, will have ongoing craft projects and fun activities
for the younger set all weekend, including juice tasting with a variety of
juices donated by our friends at Trader Joe’s. MusicalMe/Music Together
will be on hand sharing the joy of family music-making with singing,
dancing, and musical instruments. The Surfing Magician will pull out his
bag of tricks both Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 – 3pm at the corner
of Capitola and Monterey Avenue in front of Souza’s Ice Cream. Fun for
all ages!
