Love Ya…No Idea! by Allison Cope Stamps: Stamp of Approval August 2015 Box (Girlfriend, In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers) Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink, Bahama Blue*), Papertrey Ink – Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores), Stampin’ Up! (Cameo Coral) Paper: Recollections White & Black Cardstock Accessories: Stamp of Approval August 2015 Kit (Love Ya Fri-Die, Friendly Flowers Fri-Dies, Tag Buddies Dies), Masking Paper 1. Trim a piece of black cardstock at 4 ¼” x 11”. Score at 5 ½” and fold to create a top folding card. 2. Trim a piece of white cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”. 3. Die cut a large tag from masking paper and after removing the mask backing, center it within the white panel. 4. Using a variety of shades of ink, stamp flowers and leaves over the edge of the mask. *Note: Blue ink was stamped off first to create a lighter shade of ink. 5. Remove the mask. 6. Die cut the “love ya” sentiment twice from black cardstock. Glue both layers together to create a more dimensional greeting. 7. Die cut some Friendly Flowers from white cardstock. Ink up the die cuts using the same inks used to stamp the flowers. Stamp the flower centers if desired. 8. Adhere the “love ya” greeting to the tag shaped white void. 9. Stamp the remaining greeting using black ink and adhere the floral die cuts using foam adhesive. Best Friend by Kristie Goulet Stamps: Stamp of Approval Ink: Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves Distress inks, Versafine Black Paper: Black, White Accessories: Stamp of Approval stencil, Translucent embossing paste, glossy accents, black fun foam 1. Sponge distress inks in a rainbow order across a piece of 5 1/4 X 4 white card stock. 2. Place Pattern of the Rings Creative Screening over the inked piece. Secure stencil and inked piece using washi tape. Apply translucent embossing paste over entire piece, remove stencil and let dry. 3. Cut the Friend Fri-Die out of black fun foam. Heat using heat gun to shrink down to smaller size. Temporarily place Friend Fri-Die onto a piece of 3 1/2 X 2 1/4 white card stock, stamp flowers around the sentiment. Stamp "you are my best" using versafine black ink. Use liquid glue to adhere Friend Fri-Die. Mat stamped piece onto black card stock. 4. Layer inked and embossed piece onto black card stock leaving 1/8" border. Layer that onto a white 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 top folding card. Add sentiment panel using sticky strip to the center of the inked and embossed piece. Apply glossy accents to centers of flowers. Allow to dry. Stamp the word friend multiple times on the white layer. 2. Stamp the flowers and sentiment. 3. Cut and adhere a stripe of tape onto the card base. 4. To finish your design, embellish with sequins. Stenciled Tag by Laurel Beard Stamps: Stamp of Approval Ink: Onyx Black Ink (Tsukineko) Paper: Neenah Solar White 110lb Accessories: Stencil, Sequins & Die (Stamp of Approval) Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain (Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry), Vagabond, Double Sided foam Tape (Scotch), Multi Matte Medium (Ranger), Twine (Lawn Fawn), Corner Rounder (We R Memory Keepers) 1. Trim white card base to 4.25.5.5 and score to make top folding card and set aside 2. Layer the Pattern of the Rings stencil over the top of another piece of white cardstock and spray Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain from about 12 inches above in the colors Cracked Pistachio and Seedless Preserves and set aside to dry. 3. Using the direct to paper technique, apply the ink pad direct to a piece of white cardstock with Cracked Pistachio distress ink. This ensure a perfect match of color since we used the same color in the spray stain format. Secure the friend die over the top with some washi/surgical tape (I do this so my die doesn’t shift around in the machine) and run thru the die cutting machine 4. Once the stenciled panel is dry, take the two largest tag dies from the Tag Buddies and layer them right on top of the stenciled panel and run it thru your die cutting machine. Doing this will provide you a tag frame, rather than a solid tag. 5. Add double sided foam dimension on the back of the tag die cut panel and place on the white card base at an angle. 6. Stamp sentiment from the Girlfriend stamp set in black ink. 7. Secure friend die over the top of the tag panel with Multi Matte Medium, tie with twine and round corners. Hey Friend by Laura Sterkx Stamps: Stamp of Approval Paper: Neenah White, Canson Watercolor Paper, DoCrafts Glitter Paper, Lifestyle Crafts Shape 'n Tape Black Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold Distress Ink Accessories: Stamp of Approval 1. Cut a standard size card out of white card stock. 2. Add lots of water and Distress Ink to watercolor paper. Let dry. 3. Die cut flowers out of watercolored paper. 4. Die cut small details of the flowers out of glitter paper. 5. Press Versamark ink pad to white card stock and sprinkle embossing powder on it. 6. Heat set the embossing powder and die cut the word friend out of it. 7. Assemble the card together by adhering striped washi tape, a strip of glitter, the flowers and friend die cut. 8. Cut a piece of white card stock to 3 x 5 1/2 inches. 2. Next rub and anti-static tool over the entire piece. Stamp the Curtis background stamp in Versamark ink, cover with white embossing powder and heat set. 3. Using a blending tool, sponge distress inks over the embossed background. Start with Picked Raspberry, then move to Mustard Seed and finally Peacock Feathers. Blend the colors together to create even more variation in color. 4. Die cut “Friend” from black card stock. Cover with Glossy Accents and set aside until completely dry. 5. Emboss the sentiment on black card stock with white embossing powder and then trim down to size. 6. Trim a 1/8 x 5 1/2 inch and a 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of black card stock. Add the stamped background piece with foam tape and then add the die cut pieces and finishing touches. Create a top folding card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″ using black card stock. 2. Cut a mat layer using white card stock measuring 4" X 5 1/4". 3. Place Pattern of the Rings Creative Screening over the white card stock, securing with washi tape or post it tape. Stamp inside each ring using the small cluster of dots from the In Bloom stamp set. Place a dot inside each diamond using a Copic Multiliner or a black marker. 4. Stamp flowers & leaves across top of stamped paper. Then tamp sentiment onto strip of vellum. Wrap around white stamped piece, secure with tape. Adhere dimensional adhesive or fun foam to back and layer onto black card base. Die cut the tag from vellum. 2. Cut a white mat layer and stamp the florals randomly on the background. 3. Die cut the word “friend”. 4. Stamp the sentiment on the tag and adhere it to the die cut word. 5. Adhere the tag onto the mat layer using 3D foam. 6. Assemble your card. Trim charcoal card base to 4.25.5.5 and score to make top folding card and set aside. 2. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4.5.25.. Stamp the Love Ya from the Girlfriend stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkle on various colors of embossing powders (I used Zing embossing powders). Heat set with your heat tool. 3. Stamp the rest of the sentiment in Black onyx black ink, sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat set. 4. On a piece of scratch paper, color some strips with coordinating colored copic markers. 5. Place the circle dies from the Tag Buddies die set and die cut various circles to create faux enamel dots. 6. Apply a coating of Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen over the circle cuts and adhere them to your card. Florida Sunset & Daytona Sands Embossing Powder, Fun Foam. 1) Cut a piece of white card stock to 5,5" by 3, 3/4". 2) Stamp flowers in black. 3) Add color to the flowers by stamping solid images on top of the black flowers using bright colors. 4) Press Versamark ink pad to white card stock and sprinkle embossing powder on it. 5) Heat set the embossing powder and die cut the word friend out of it. 6) Die cut the word again out of white Fun Foam. 7) Adhere the word cut out of Fun Foam to the back of the glitter word. 8) Stamp a sentiment. 9) Assemble the card together by adhering washi tape, a strip of glitter paper and the friend die cut. Trim a piece of white card stock to 4 x 5 1/4. Stamp the background with florals in shades of the same color. 2. Next stamp the leaves and detail pieces on the flowers. 3. Heat emboss the sentiment on a a 3/8 x 4 1/4 inches strip of back card stock. 4. Adhere the stamped layer with foam tape and embellish with sequins. Love Ya by Heather North Stamps: Stamp of Approval Ink: Versamark, Cracked Pistachio (Distress); Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Cucumber Crush (Stampin' Up!) Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!) Accessories: Black & White Twine (Doodlebug); Stencil & Die (Stamp of Approval); Translucent Embossing Paste (Wendy Vecchi); White Embossing Powder (Stampin' Up!) 1. Sponge ink onto card stock in a random pattern. 2. Cover the embossed piece with the Pattern of the Rings Stencil. *Use painter's tape, a sticky note, or washi tape to temporarily adhere your stencil down. 3. Lightly cover the surface with translucent embossing paste, then peel off stencil and set aside to dry. *Wash your stencil and tools immediately to avoid having paste dry on them. 4. Emboss the sentiment "no matter what" onto the bottom of a 1 1/4" black strip of card stock. 5. Die cut "love ya" sentiment with the same color card stock. 5. Once your embossing paste is dry, adhere it to the cardstock. 6. Wrap baker's twine around the bottom and tie it in a bow. *View the video on how this card was made here. Trim a piece of white card stock to 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2 and fold to create a top folding card. 2. Round the bottom corners. 3. Mask off the top, on an angle, using Post-It Notes. 4. Stamp the flowers and leaves using colorful inks. To achieve a lighter ink, stamp the image twice without reinking. 5. Remove the masks and stamp the greeting. 6. Adhere the heart sequins to the center of the large flowers. Adhere the die cut sentiment to the bottom right of the card leaving space for your stamped sentiment. 3. Hey There Friend By Jessica Frost-Ballas Stamps: Box of Approval Ink: Versamark Paper: Black Card stock, Neenah Solar White Cardstock, Vellum, Pink Glitter Paper Accessories: Powder Tool, Silver Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Copic Markers in RV04, RV06, RV09, BigShot, Milwaukee Heat Tool, ATG Gun, Vellum Tape, Foam Mounting Tape 1. Prep a scrap piece of vellum with your powder tool. Stamp the flowers from Winnie & Walter’s In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers onto the vellum with versamark and then heat-emboss them with silver embossing powder. Turn the vellum over and color the outlined flowers with copic markers. Leave the solid flowers as is. Fussy cut each flower and set aside. 2. Prep a 3.75” by 5.5” piece of black cardstock with your powder tool. Ink Catherine’s Background stamp from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps with versamark and then press the black cardstock onto the stamp. Carefully pull up the black cardstock and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder. 3. Cut a piece of white cardstock to a standard A2 size (4.25” by 5.5”) and color the sides of the paper with the darkest copic marker (RV09). 4. Die-cut the word ‘friend’ from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Girlfriend die-set from pink glitter paper. 5. Cut a strip of vellum to 1.5” by 5.5” and prep with a powder tool. Stamp the words ‘hey there’ from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps set with versamark and then heat-emboss with silver embossing powder. 6. To assemble the card, adhere the black background to the pink panel with an ATG gun. Next use vellum tape to adhere the strip of vellum to the black background. 7. Arrange the flowers and adhere the solid embossed flowers with an ATG gun and the colored outline flowers with foam mounting tape. Use the ATG gun to adhere the die-cut word above the flowers. Finally, mount the finished pink panel to a white or black card base! Tape a piece of watercolor paper to the craft sheet with post-it or washi tape. Offset the stencil and tape it over the watercolor paper to secure it. 2. Lightly puff some of the Color Burst powder onto the paper in whatever design you want. A little goes A LONG way 3. Carefully spritz water onto the powder…it will spread quickly. For variation in color use a paper towel to dab off excess water then do a second spray and let that sit. The powders will blend together and create new colors! 4. Let it dry completely before removing the stencil. Trim the watercolor panel to 4” by 5.25”. 5. Prep the watercolor paper with a powder tool and stamp the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps with versafine. Emboss the sentiment with clear embossing powder. 6. Mount the watercolor panel to a cardbase of black cardstock. To finish the card add a sprinkling of sequins, adhering them with Ranger multi-medium matte! Cut card stock to 11 x 4-1/4 and 5 x 3-3/4. 2. Stamp greeting, then flower images on card stock. 3. Ink stamp in Butter Bar, then stamp off on scratch paper to get a lighter shade, then stamp the next image on top of it without stamping off. 4. Add liquid glue to “friend” die and offset it to show a bit of the black card stock from behind. 6. Assemble the rest of the card! Cut card stock to 4-1/4 x 11, 4 x 5-1/2 , 3-3/4 x 5. 2. Using the Pattern of the Rings stencil, sponge Peeled Paint on card stock making it darker in the upper left hand corner and fading to a very light shade. 3. Start in the opposite corner with Peacock Feathers and blend to a smooth transition between colors. 4. Die-cut the largest tag from the Stamp of Approval collection from vellum and prep it with a powder tool. Stamp the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Girlfriend set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with gold embossing powder. 2. Take a 4.25” by 11” card base of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and score it at 5.5.” Cut a tiny slit at the score line about a half an inch from the left edge. Use post-it tape to adhere the card to your work surface and mask off the back of the card so that you can stamp the flowers over the edge of the card without inking up what will become the back of your card. 3. Stamp the solid flowers from the Winnie & Walter In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers stamp set across the panel with white pigment ink. Heat set it with the heat gun so the pigment ink won’t smudge. 4. Next, stamp the larger outline flowers with the colored pigment inks. Stamp the entire card base with larger flowers and then fill in the empty spaces with the smaller flowers, leaves and accents. Don’t worry if the stamps overlap. Heat-set the colored inks or let it dry overnight. 5. Put a couple of dots of Ranger multi-medium matte on the back of the vellum tag where they will be hidden by the embossed word then place the tag onto the card. 6. Thread the twine and metallic thread through the slit in the top of the card and tie it around the opening in the tag. Arrange the bow and then cut the ends of the strings so they’re even. Accessories: Sequins (Stamp of Approval) 1. Use a post it note to mask off 2/3 of an inch of the card base. 2. Stamp the solid image flowers randomly on the left 1/3 of the card. Start with largest flowers and work down to smaller images. 3. Stamp the line images in black over the solid flowers. 4. Peel off masking tape and add a sentiment and sequins. You Have No Idea by Kristie Goulet Stamps: Stamp of Approval Ink: Memento Tuxedo black Paper: White, Black Accessories: Die (Stamp of Approval) YR68, Y19, BG05, B02 Copics 1. Create a top folding card base. 2. Cut another piece of white card stock 3 1/2" by 5 1/4". Using your MISTI or Stamp-a-majig, stamp the first open leaf image in the upright position. Stamp the next leaf image to the right of the previous stamped image so the bottom right petal and the bottom left petal that you are stamping are overlapping. Continue stamping image until medallion is formed, making sure to overlap the bottom petal. Stamp the swirl in each corner of the medallion. Color the image with Copics, using YR68 & Y19 on the petals that overlap in the center. Color the rest of the petals with BG05 & B02. 3. Using a scrap piece of black card stock cut out the Friend sentiment using the Friend FriDie. Attach this to the bottom portion of your stamped panel. Stamp the rest of the sentiment from the Girlfriend stamp set under the die cut. 4. Cut a piece of black card stock 3 3/4" by 5 1/4" to mat behind stamped piece. Attach to top folding card base. Attach a sequin to the center of the medallion to finish off your card. Cut a piece of watercolor paper to 4 x 5 1/4 inches. 2. Stamp the sentiment on an angle in black ink. 3. Stamp the flowers in Versamark ink and then heat emboss with white embossing powder. Fill in with the smaller image stamped in black. 4. Color over each flower with Zig Clean Color Markers and then spritz with water. 5. Let dry and then layer over a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inch piece of black card stock and adhere to a white card base. 6. Embellish with sequins. *View the video on how this card was made here. Cut watercolor paper to 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. Stamp the flowers with Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. 2. Color over each flower with Zig Clean Color Markers and spritz with water. Set aside to dry. 3. Stamp “no matter what” repeatedly on white card stock and then die cut the “love ya” die from the stamped piece. Die cut the “love ya” again from black card stock and layer the two, slightly offsetting them. 4. Once dry, place the watercolored piece on a 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 inches piece of black card stock, then adhere it to a white card base. 5. Blend the pattern from the stencil on white paper using three colors of Distress Ink. 2. Cut that piece to 4" by 5 1/4" and die cut the flowers out of the paper. Adhere acetate on the back so that it covers the flowers. 3. Grab a piece of Fun Foam and cut three circles in it so that it matches the flowers. These circles don't have to be perfect since you won't be able to see the backside. 4. Adhere the Fun Foam Frame to a standard size card and sprinkle sequins into the circles. 5. Adhere the main piece of the card to the Fun Foam using strong adhesive. 6. The shaker piece is finished! Now die cut the friend greeting out of blue glitter paper. Adhere that to the card. 7. Die cut the tiny elements of the flower set out of white glitter paper and adhere it onto the acetate. Lay circle stencil over white cardstock. Use washi tape, post-it note tape or painters tape to keep stencil in place. 2. Randomly stamp small flowers in several circles with Versamark ink. 3. Remove stencil and sprinkle with embossing powder. 4. Heat set embossing powder. 5. Lay stencil back over your cardstock, lining up the flowers inside the circles and use removable tape to keep it in place. 6. Sponge yellow ink over the entire surface 7. Cut cardstock down to 4 x 5 1/4”. 8. Use direct to paper technique on mat (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), swipe pink ink over the cardstock until it is completely covered. 9. Die cut sentiment out of the center of the cardstock, making sure not to cut too close to the edges. 10. Cover sentiment with versamark, then sprinkle Irridescent Ice embossing powder. Adhere the white layer to a piece of Hawaiian Shores card stock that has been trimmed to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches. Then add to an Aqua Mist card base. 5. Embellish with sequins and beads.
