Community Transport Are you struggling to access mainstream transport but want to retain your independence? If you’re looking to get out and about with a bit more ease this door-to-door service could give you the support you need. We offer a range of support including: door-to-door service affordable transport to medical appointments, shopping and social outings Who can use this service This service is available to a wide range of people: •Older and frail-aged people with moderate, severe or profound disabilities aged 65+ •Younger people with moderate, severe or profound disabilities •People with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage aged 50+ •People with dementia, memory loss and other related conditions Contact us for eligibility conditions. If you are frail older, have a disability or are a carer then CareWest Community Transport can make it easier to get around. This service offers safe, easyto-access travel for people who have difficulties using public transport or do no have their own transportation. CareWest Community Transport is an affordable door-to-door service that will allow you to maintain your independence and live your best life. When it is offered Community Transport is open to a wide range of people and made up of a variety of different vehicles, including small buses that are wheelchair accessible. Payment Transport services are available from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Where it is available This service is available in the following Local Government Areas (LGA): Orange, Blayney, the Northern and Southern sections of Cabonne, Balranald, and Wentworth, and in the towns of Ivanhoe, Dubbo, Tenterfield and Glen Innes. The service transports people to a range of public facilities in these areas such as the hospital, library, CBD shopping area or medical centre.
