This fourth film from Clooney as a director is both gripping and ferociously intelligent. Starring Ryan Gosling George Clooney Dir: George Clooney 1hr 41mins War Horse W/E (12A) Wallis & Edward (15) This is a tale of loyalty, hope and tenacity, in a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War. About a remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a man called Albert. When war breaks out, Joey is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France but Albert cannot forget him, and lies about his age to enlist with the army to bring him home. A true account of the love affair between divorcee Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII that led to his abdication in 1936. This parallel romantic story based in modern New York, makes for a genuinely engrossing drama that at times is as compelling as "The King's Speech." Starring 2hrs Jeremy Irvine Emily Watson Dir: Steven Spielberg Starring Abbie Cornish Andrea Riseborough Dir: Madonna Running time tbc Friday 16 March 7.30pm Friday 23 March 7.30pm Friday 30 March 7.30pm Full price £4.50 Concessions £3.50 Full price £4.50 Concessions £3.50 Full price £4.50 Concessions £3.50 March - April Saturday Matinee Hugo (U) The Artist Martin Scorsese, the true master of cinematic virtuosity, has conjured up true magic in family entertainment. Set in the 1930s, an orphan boy lives a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery, and links the father he recently lost to an ill-tempered toy shop owner and a heart shaped lock seemingly without a key. (PG) The most entertaining film you will see this year, a joyous and endlessly inventive story set just as talking pictures burst onto the scene. Silent movie star George Valentin believes they are just a passing fad and refuses to appear in them. As his career stalls, a young actress he discovered becomes an all singing, all dancing, all talking Hollywood star. Starring Starring Asa Butterfield, Johnny Depp, Jude Law Dir: Martin Scorsese Hoot Comedy Club 5th Birthday Special Sully O’Sullivan Headlines 'Gasp with laughter and a small amount of beer tries to escape through my nose. Plop was a baby Barn Owl. He was fat and fluffy. He had big round eyes. Plop was exactly the same as every barn owl that has ever been – except for one thing. He was AFRAID OF THE DARK. This funny, gentle and reassuring tale is written especially for small people aged 3 - 7, and grownups who sleep with the big light on! Tuesday 10 April 2pm All tickets £5 George Clooney is superb as a Hawaiian lawyer who is forced to re-evaluate his life when his wife suffers a near fatal accident. Forced to take on the role of back up parent, he bonds with his two daughters who he hardly knows and learns that his wife has been harbouring a secret. An intelligent, complex drama that is hilarious and heartfelt in equal measure. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways. Starring Judi Dench, Bill Nighy Maggie Smith Dir: John Madden Me and My Girl Gainsborough Amateur Operatic Society A sublime and sunny treat for musical comedy fans of all ages The show revolves around an unrefined cockney called Bill Snibson who is discovered to be the longlost 14th Earl of Hareford but he can only inherit the title and estate if he satisfies the will’s executors that he is a ‘fit and proper person’ to do so. The result? Chaos of the most comical kind. With a host of hilarious characters, witty one-liners (guaranteed by Stephen Fry’s acclaimed revision) and toe-tapping, uplifting musical numbers (The Lambeth Walk, The Sun Has Got His Hat On, Leaning On A Lamp Post), ‘Me and My Girl’ is a must see!
