Fritz & Guggi Breitfuß: Only those who tread a path
again and again can leave a trail behind them. This
has been something that has guided our family since
1928 and the tradition has continued down through the
generations. This is why the 19th-century mill that used
to stand here has developed step-by-step into one of
the best hotels in Saalbach. The recipe for this success
story is a pioneering spirit, a great deal of courage, and
a ready willingness to accept new challenges.
What do you think it is that makes the Neuhaus
the perfect holiday accommodation?
Fritz Breitfuß jun.: It’s all about the people; that’s
something that I learned from my parents and my
grandparents; family is something that is very
important to us. But it’s also about having a passion
for providing service, and that is exactly our strength:
how we, together with the entire Neuhaus team, are
able to spoil our guests, in culinary matters, wellness,
and in our staggering personal service. It all adds up
to "infinite holiday"!

A contradiction, surely?
Fritz Breitfuß jun.: It’s only from experiencing
excitement that can you actually appreciate
relaxation. That’s why I see gastronomy as a passion,
and cultivating the enthusiasm of guests is something
I was pretty much born with. Times are changing
though, and we are always developing. Lifestyle,
current fashions and advances are all things that
influence how the future looks, but with our personal
commitment to tradition, and to traditional values.
What you looking forward to most about the
coming winter?
Fritz Breitfuß jun.: I’m looking forward to leaving my
tracks in the snow after a great climb up the Kohlmais
mountain on my touring skis, and really enjoying the
sense of freedom!

SAUVIGNON BLANC BY BERNHART
Light yellow, aroma of aniseed, green paprika,
elderflower blossoms, gooseberries and red currants;
very elegant. Structured on the palate, many faceted,
fruity with a fine finish. Production: selected by hand.
WEISSBURGUNDER BY BERNHART
Awarded 5 wine glasses out of a possible 5 at the
Delfabro tasting in Vienna, “internationally excellent!”
Balanced, fruity apple-pear aroma with light exotic
evidence of fruit and elderflower. Strong yet elegant
and youthful. Production: selected by hand.
The name Bernhart is firmly linked with Riegersburg. The
vineyard stands enthroned on the Hofberg mountain, with
views of the splendid castle. To grow up high, it needs a good
foundation and deep roots, and here these conditions are
certainly to be found. Its history can be traced back to the
17th century, and the family business that run it is now in the
15th and 16th generation. Seppi Nestelberger, in charge of
the cellar, and his son-in-law, 7 times regional champion in
his subject, has been responsible for the wines since 2008,
together with his boss, Ferdinand.

Dark ruby red in colour, with shimmers of violet. Fine herbal,
spicy bouquet, ripe cherries, with fine nuances of plums.
A tender mix of herbs, a hint of blackberry. Fruity, elegant
texture of cherries and oranges, well-integrated tannins.
Fine sweet aftertaste. Suitable accompaniment to a wide
range of dishes.
The Gesellmann vineyard was originally first mentioned in
1767, and since then many generations have contributed,
bringing their knowledge together, but in keeping with the
modern day. As one of the few businesses that as being
awarded 5 stars by the Falstaff wine guide for 2015/2016,
the Gesellmann vineyard is surely one of the top wine
producers in Austria.

local region. Perfect conditions to prepare the palate
perfectly, "home sweet home". Juicy meadow herbs,
Alpine flowers, and in winter the fragrance of hay. After
all, after the optical delights, the palette wants to be
next in line. For, wonderful as storytelling may be, what
matters is how it tastes. And the fragrances and all that
goes with them can leave their mark and beautifully
slowly be welcomed on the tongue; the meat here
enjoys a special tenderness and is pleasantly strong in
its taste. Keen meat eaters will absolutely love it, and
it will set the mouths of gourmets watering. That’s just
how it should be, and that’s how it always will be. After a

Arriving by car
We would like to advise you that our hotel is in the
pedestrianized zone. However, you are allowed to park
in front of the hotel to check in.
Some short directions
After the BP petrol station, turn right, pass the tunnel,
then turn left into the pedestrianized zone. Our hotel is
just 80 m further on the right.
What about the car?
You can park your car at the hotel in the underground
car park (€16 per day) or on our free car park 200 m
from the hotel.
Arriving by plane
We will gladly help you in arranging a transfer. Simply
let us know your flight information and we will send
you appropriate details.
Toll-free route to Saalbach
Autobahn Munich - Salzburg (A 8) to the Siegsdorf exit,
then towards Inzell, and on until the Lofer turn off. From
Lofer, continue to Saalfelden and on towards Zell am See.
At Maishofen you take the exit into the Glemmtal, and from
there it is just 14 km to Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Arrival/departure: Rooms are on the whole available from 3 PM, and you are expected to vacate them
by 11 AM on your day of departure.
Airport transfer: We will happily arrange a transfer for you.
Parking: Our own free car park (approx. 200 m away) and an underground car park at the hotel for €16 per day.
Connoisseur pampering package: Starts on the day of arrival at 4 pm and ends on the day of departure at 11 am.
Packages/arrangements: Any services not made use of cannot be refunded.
Local taxes: € 1.70 for guests from the age of 15.
Room requests: We like to take guests’ room requests into consideration, but please understand that we cannot
always guarantee a specific room number or floor.
Room card: We charge a deposit of €5 for each key card. This deposit is of course refunded to you on your day of departure.
No smoking/smoking: All rooms & suites are no smoking. Smoking is also not allowed in the lobby area and hotel bar.
You may however smoke on your balcony or in the designated area outside and under the outdoor heater.
Dress code: sporty to elegant: swimwear / bathrobes are not allowed in the restaurant area nor in the hotel bar.
We ask that you wear appropriate clothing to dinner
Dogs can be accommodated on request: we charge €15 per day excluding food. Please bring your dog’s
basket or blanket. Your 4-legged friend is not allowed in certain rooms and suites, in the dining room and in the spa area.

Beauty & wellness treatments: we recommend you arrange your appointment time before arrival. If you are not able
to keep an appointment, please cancel it at least one day in advance. If not, we will have to charge you
the price of the treatment.

Facilities: all apartments have been furnished with much love and attention to detail and are equipped with the following:
front door intercom, flat screen TV, radio in the bathroom, electronic safe, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, kitchen/kitchenette with
coffee machine, electric cooker, extractor, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. All apartments have a complete set of Lillian, and
plenty of cutlery and glasses. Wi-Fi is free!
Bread delivery service: Charge applies. Please place your order before 12 o’clock a day in advance.
Other: Dogs can only be accommodated if arranged in advance; Price: €15 per day. The whole booking price is payable if
guests arrive later than expected or need to depart earlier than expected. Check-in: from 3 PM to 6 PM. Check out: before 11 AM.
Wellness: Use of the wellness area in the hotel is possible, but incurs a supplement.

Holiday cancellation insurance: It is always possible that something unexpected can happen, and we therefore recommend taking
out holiday cancellation insurance, which we would be happy to arrange for you with the Europäische Reiseversicherung. The price of
this is 5% of the total booking price. On taking out insurance, we will send you your personal policy.
Cancellation conditions: The terms of the Austrian hotel regulations apply, court of jurisdiction Saalfelden.
