Sheet C‐1 Existing C.O. on North of site near MLK Jr. Drive shall be removed to 2 feet below grade, capped, and abandoned in place. Sheet A0.1; Life Safety Plan Doors 135A and 135B exiting from the Training/Council Room shall be equipped with Panic Hardware. Bonding Requirements for Work in a DOT right‐of‐way Site Contractor shall include standard NCDOT Bonding Requirements in the base bid when working in NCDOT right‐of‐way. Bonds (Bid, performance, & payment) are required for this project and appropriate forms are included in the specifications and are required to be submitted with the bid. Minority Business forms are required to be submitted with the bid. MBE forms are included in the specifications. A description of the two alternates was given. This project is funded through USDA. USDA requires a 10% retainage. The Town of Ahoskie will waive all permit fees, tap fees, impact fees and any other fees that would be charged to the contractor by the Town of Ahoskie. Permits are still required. The construction budget, including site work is $1.4 million dollars. Any bonding requirements for the cutting and patching of MLK will be addressed by addendum. The natural gas provider is Piedmont Natural Gas All testing is by the Contractor. Required testing is listed in each individual specification section. It was stated that there are two existing generators to be provided by the Owner. One is at the existing fire station and shall be removed, relocated, and reinstalled by the Contractor. The second is on Town property but not installed and shall be relocated and installed by the Contractor. Contractors may visit the existing fire station to examine the existing generator.
