Julia Wade
Classical crossover and inspirational singer Julia Wade has been hailed by critics as “the female equivalent of Josh Groban.” [Inside World Music] Spanning diverse musical styles, Julia has performed nationally and internationally as a concert soloist, as well as in opera, cabaret and musical theatre, including The Rome Opera and Carnegie Hall. As a recording artist, Julia is truly at home in the studio with no less than 10 solo CDs under her belt, with an 11th to be released in 2016. Julia’s most recent CD release is a very special project featuring a fantastic group of 8 women vocalists, including Georgia Engel, Cynthia Clawson and Jenny Burton -­‐-­‐ all singing with Julia on “DUETS: Woman 2 Woman -­‐-­‐ Conversations with Wise Women In My Life." As a Concert Artist, Julia tours her concerts all over the United States, taking her audiences on an inspirational journey in which she grapples with issues of the world at large as well as the individual human condition. Julia’s performance is described as an experience of being “beautifully entertained all the while your soul is being nourished!" Julia’s theatrical and on-­‐screen work includes her performance of Kurt Weill’s “Lady In The Dark” at Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Italy, under the baton of American conductor, Steven Mercurio. The production was broadcast nationally throughout Italy on RAI TV. Julia also performed at the nationally televised 13th Annual Movie Guide Awards in Hollywood just before Jim Caveziel won for Best Actor in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion Of The Christ.” Additionally, one of Julia’s favorite projects to date is her performance of “Siyahamba” before a crowd of 3000, which was broadcast live to thousands more around the world. Julia completed a successful 7-­‐year run from 2005 to 2012 as the Soloist of the world headquarters of a major international church in Boston, MA where she performed and was broadcast live 2 to 3 times a week on the internet weekly, singing in both English and Spanish. During her tenure, Julia gained a loyal international audience while leading the way in expanding inspirational music. Julia is credited with changing the face of music in the services throughout the world.
