Attention Country Aire Residents! This is an
opportunity for you to have your own Garage
Sale without even having to advertise! The
Board will take care of placing ads in eight
area newspapers and Craigslist, plus notifying
the local TV stations
and placing signs
around the perimeter
to attract potential
buyers. All you have
to do is get your
things organized and
be ready on the 19th.
2015-2016 Upcoming Events
August 2015 — February, 2016
In the past our neighborhood has had an ice
cream social that was a really big event. For
various reasons it hasn’t happened for over 10
years. We are planning to bring it back! One of
the problems with an event like this is the unknown turnout. It is hard to plan when you have
no idea the attendance you might get.
There are several things that we are needing
help with. First off let us know if you would be
interested in coming!! Please check the website
www.cahoa.org for a survey and more information about the event. Secondly, we need
volunteers for the Planning Committee and day
of Action Committee for set up and teardown.
There is also the option of getting some students
involved like the Boy Scouts, Union Highsteppers
or National Honor Society kids, which all need
volunteer hours.
Right now we are looking at scheduling it in
June, 2016 at the Country Aire Park. We
haven’t decided on a date, but would really appreciate some volunteers. So if you are interested in helping out with the event in any capacity
please contact me, Bobby Liniger

FROM THE PREZ
Greetings everyone. I’m Bobby
Liniger, the new HOA president.
I was VP last year, so this isn’t
completely new to me, but I’ve
taken on many more responsibilities. We have a great neighborhood, I love the parks, and the
fixed up tennis courts are nice. My hope is to improve our
neighborhood by getting residents involved and building relationships with each other. To work towards those
goals I’ve been busy in different areas that I will talk about
briefly.
First off is the summer social. Ran out of time planning
it for this summer, so we are now looking forward to next
year. The first part of that is raising awareness for it. Also
I’m looking for volunteers to help plan and execute this
event. It has been a long time since we have done this. I
wrote a short article for it that you can read for more information.
Country Aire has a Nextdoor.com page which I used to
mention the summer social event, and other things like
the easter egg hunt and neighborhood garage sale. The
page was primarily made for neighborhood watch, but has
many other uses. You have to verify your address to join,
to keep members within our neighborhood. 118 people
from Country Aire have already signed up, so head on
over and join us.
Another information web page is www.cahoa.org. I’ve
taken over maintaining the site, and you can use it to contact me through the contact form. I’ve been trying to keep
Page 2
it up to date so it can be a valuable resource to our residents.
I’m also working on improving the welcoming committee.
It has been a bit overwhelming for the small team we had
and we have some new volunteers. The new team should
be able to lessen the load per person so it will be much better. Unfortunately I’m the chairperson and still learning
what is going on, but it is looking great. Again there is another article and a chance for others to be involved in this.
Another item that is on my radar is the annual meeting.
It should be in March and hopefully we will have good
attendance. Top That Pizza provided pizza at this years
meeting and we are really thankful for them doing that.
My family really enjoys their pizza, so I would encourage
others to give them a try.
So there are many things going on in the neighborhood
and would love for others to get involved. The simplest
way is to join the association by paying the membership
dues. Also attending events and meetings would be great
as well. Then of course there is the opportunity to volunteer in one of the areas mentioned, or other events we have
like the Easter egg hunt or yard of the week judge. Contact
me if interested or just want more information, my information is here in the breeze, or contact me through the
website contact form.
Sadly I’m still trying to figure everything out, fortunately
we have a great board that has been wonderful to work
with. Also, Doug McNutt the former president left the
HOA in good condition and made it easy to pick up. So I
want to conclude with thanks to him and also for all our
board, we have a great team.

Membership Drive Update
ByTerry Bryan
Invoice letters for our association were mailed in Feb
this year to the 916 homeowners and landlords that we
have on record for Country Aire I thru VI. We did a follow
up mailing about a month later to the addresses that we
had obtained new owners names. If for some reason you
did not receive this letter we would be happy to add you
to our list and update our records. You can send your
dues to “CAHOA, 2608 W. Kenosha Box 470, Broken
Arrow, OK 74012” You can also download a copy of our
invoice letter from our webpage at CAHOA.org. or use the
Unfortunately I have to report that we have less than
half of the homeowners in Country Aire that are willing to
support us and help us maintain the largest homeowners
association in the Tulsa area as a well maintained, desirable place to live. However, we truly appreciate many of
our members that have sent an additional $10, $20, or
more with their dues. That is a big help.
At this time we have received dues from 379 homeowners, 41% of the addresses in our six additions. (Editors’
Note: please visit the website at cahoa.org and view
the memberhip goal and current status graph, updated
frequently!)
We have 7 different entrances into our addition that
must be maintained. We cover a full mile both North to
South and East to West and pay to have almost 2 miles
of the perimeter mowed throughout the summer.
The dues each of you pay are used to upgrade our
entrances, mow the perimeter and hold several functions
for the members each year.
CAHOA is a voluntary homeowners association. Our
dues are only $25 annually which is a very small amount
compared to most of the other associations in our area.
That’s only about $2 a month to help your association
maintain the area where you live and raise your family.
There is absolutely no reason we should not have at a
minimum 50% of our homes paying their dues.
We have received several notes from members thanking
us for our work. We are always looking for volunteers
to assist with everything from flower bed maintenance,
assisting with the welcoming committee to simply attending our monthly meetings and providing input on what
our homeowners would like to see. If you’re happy with
what we’re doing please consider joining us so we can
keep it going. If you’re unhappy with what we’re doing
please consider joining us and help us implement changes.
We would like to hear from you. If you are one of the
homeowners who haven’t joined the association drop us
a line and let us know why. I believe the ultimate goal
of everyone involved in the Country Aire Homeowners
Association is to make this a truly great place to live and
raise a family.

Welcoming Committee
by Bobby Liniger
We are looking at improving our welcoming committee.
The welcoming committee is the group of volunteers that
greet a new resident and help them get acquainted with
the area and provide a friendly face. We need this group
to help get people connected and feel welcome in their
new home.
Welcoming someone is easy to do. Simply, introduce
yourself, provide them with a packet that has a copy of
the Breeze and city information. Just be friendly and
welcoming, I think everyone can do that. You also get
to work at your own pace. You would be informed of a
house closing from the previous month, and can work
out when to greet them.
We have a small group of volunteers right now, but would like more
so that someone moving in can be
welcomed by someone living close,
preferably on their street. Even if
you are not part of the welcoming
committee we hope you are greeting
any new neighbors.
As a final note, we are currently
looking for a chairperson for this
opportunity. We hope to hear from
you. There will be quarterly meetings starting Aug 20th where we can
discuss how things are going and
make changes as needed.
