The Model 84M set the world standard for lightweight, classic hunting rifles.
Specifically designed for the .308 Win. cartridge size, they weigh just over
5.5 pounds. New this year is the Model 84M Classic Stainless in .243 Win.,

Custom features like high ride
beavertail grip safety, extended
thumb safety and Commander-style
hammer are part of every Kimber
pistol. All parts are made inside
the Kimber factory, ensuring

The Kimber Custom sets the performance standard for
production 1911 pistols. Models are offered with a choice
of fixed, adjustable or night sights, and in matte or polished
finishes. Both carbon steel and stainless steel versions are
available. Common features include the Kimber Firing Pin
Safety,™ designated by “II” in the model name, along with
rounded and blended edges for comfortable carry. Barrels,

Warrior and Desert Warrior pistols

A tribute to attributes. Specialized features
are the hallmark of the Compact and Pro
Carry families. Some have shorter grips and
light weight aluminum frames–even night
sights and the Kimber Tactical Rail. All have
shorter 4-inch barrels that make them easy

Compact and Pro Carry pistols have
4-inch bushingless match grade bull
barrels fitted directly to the slide.
Chambers and triggers are also match

Model 84M actions are bedded to the
stock on twin aluminum pillars for
strength and accuracy. Models in big
game calibers also have glass bedding.
Sculpted steel bottom metal has a
floorplate release inside the trigger bow.
The Model 84M action was designed with minimal
dimensions to accept the .308 Win. family of cartridges. No
compromise was considered. Most production rifles simply
shorten their bulky, full-size actions to accommodate these
shorter cartridges, and their rifles end up weighing the same
as a magnum. Worse, many do the only other thing they can
to save weight; shorten the barrel below optimal length. That
takes the rifle out of balance and reduces velocity.
RIFLES
The Model 84M action is designed with
absolute minimal dimensions for the
.308 Win. family of cartridges. This is
the primary reason Model 84M rifles
weigh some 2 pounds less than those
from other manufacturers.
The Kimber Model 84M™ is the first ultra-lightweight

To accommodate America’s most popular big game
calibers like .270 Win., .30-06 Spfd. and .375 H&H Mag.,
the Model 8400 action was lengthened. A total of seven
sporting and three tactical models are offered. Montana
models with stainless steel barreled actions and Kevlar/
carbon fiber stocks are light weight, hard-core mountain
rifles. Classic, Classic Select Grade and SuperAmerica
models are elegant walnut-stocked hunting rifles that
perform as good as they look.
Models like the Sonora, Caprivi and Talkeetna have
specialized features for long-range stand hunting or taking
dangerous game up close. Tactical rifles are ready for law
enforcement and military use, right out of the box. Standard
action sporters are detailed on page 48, specialized models

Hand-cut panel checkering at 20 lines-perinch is a Kimber standard. SuperAmerica
models have wrap-around 24 lines-per-inch

Model 8400 Montana rifles feature stainless steel barreled actions
and premium Kevlar/carbon fiber stocks. Available in standard,

Model 8400
Kimber stocks have an elegant, hand-rubbed
oil finish that protects the wood while
emphasizing the character and beauty of
the grain. SuperAmerica models feature a
traditional cheekpiece.
The original Model 8400 was specifically designed for the
Winchester Short Magnum (WSM) family of cartridges, but
rifles with standard-length actions quickly followed. As with
the Model 84M, every dimension is minimized to keep the
rifles light, sleek and balanced. At the same time, barrels
are never shortened below optimum length so maximum
velocity is retained. Four models with the shorter action are
offered, each chambered in 270 WSM, 300 WSM and 325
WSM. Details are on the following page.

Meprolight® M-21 reflex sights deliver a bright, dependable aiming point and do
not require battery power. Each has zero magnification, is parallax-free and fitted
with a 30mm lens for fast target acquisition. In daylight, fiber optic cables capture
ambient light and project a bright amber aiming point on the lens. Brightness selfadjusts to prevailing light conditions. In low light, the M-21 automatically transitions
to Tritium power at the appropriate brightness. Meprolight reflex sights are battletested tough, and include a quick attach/detach mounting system that fits Picatinny
rails. All come with a 10-year illumination warranty to the original purchaser.
The M-21 reflex sight is available in black or
dark earth with “Open X” reticle. The black
version also has three additional reticle options.
Reticle options include Dot (5.5 MOA), Triangle
(12 MOA), Bullseye (30 MOA outside, 4.3 MOA
dot) and Open X (21.5 MOA outside, 4.3 MOA
center).
Meprolight offers Tritium night sight sets that fit most popular pistols
as well as AR-15 and AK-47 pattern rifles. Meprolight reflex sights
mount on standard Picatinny rails and have quick-detaching bases.

Kimber firearms and Less-Lethal products should only

All Kimber 1911 centerfire pistols now include the
Loaded Chamber Indicator Port feature. When a round
is in the chamber and light is available, the brass or
silver color of the shell casing should be visible through
the port in the barrel hood. This feature is another
example of Kimber’s commitment to firearm safety.
However, one must never assume a firearm is unloaded
until both the chamber and magazine are empty and
the magazine is removed. Even then, all established
rules of firearm safety must always be followed.
Firearm safety is every gun owner’s responsibility. Use

The JPX™ Jet Protector® is the most consistently effective less-lethal delivery system
available today. Far more powerful than conventional canister sprays, the unique
JPX pyrotechnic propulsion system delivers a concentrated jet of OC solution at
270 MPH; too fast for an aggressor to dodge. The familiar firearm design promotes
easy training and is safe to deploy. A removable magazine contains two independent
charges and reloading is as simple as snapping a fresh magazine into place.

Rimfire Target .22 LR Conversion Kit
KimPro II is a proprietary high-tech firearm finish that is tough and
self-lubricating. It offers outstanding resistance to a wide variety of
chemicals, as well as UV light that can break down other coatings.
KimPro II protects against the elements and resists abrasion to a much
greater extent than conventional firearms finishes. Equally important,
KimPro II is attractive, and the thin coating layer does not effect the
operation of a firearm. KimPro II can be applied to aluminum,
steel and stainless steel frames and slides, and is available in a wide
