language.

Bundle Performance Task(s)
After studying the beauty of poetry within the bundle, students will select or write (extra credit possibility) a song/poem (of four to six stanzas) to recite in class. Each
song/poem must have a minimum of 3 literary devices discussed in this bundle. Students should use voice modulation, tone, and gestures expressively to enhance
the meaning of the poem. When finished, students will explain the purpose and form of the song/poem, as well as the examples of literary devices used within the
poem. A possible assessment rubric is provided in the Appendix under curriculum for each performance task.
As an extension, students will write a personal response to two poems with either similar ideas or contrasting ideas. Students might choose two poems they love,
dislike, or find puzzling for the same reasons, or they might locate two poems that stand out for their differences (e.g., two poems with different attitudes toward life).
