Overview of the pharma City
 GoAP initiated a sector specific industrial park for Pharma and Bulk Drug Industries,
to be developed under PPP model on BOO basis.
 A Public – Private Partnership initiative by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and
Ramky Group to develop Pharma City as an exclusive hub of Bulk Drug,
Pharmaceuticals, Chemical and Allied Industries.
 Ramky Group won the global bidding on a BOO basis and M/s APIIC has identified
and allotted 971.66 ha. for development.
 M/s APIIC (Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure cooperation) and Ramky Group
have formed a consortium to launch a Special Purpose Vehicle “ M/s Ramky
Pharma City (India) Limited”
 Pharma City was named as Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City by Government of
Andhra Pradesh vide G.O. Ms. No. 52 Ind.& Comm. (INF). Dept., Date 21.2.2005.
 Ramky Pharma City (India) limited, as a developer launched a Pharma Sector
Specific Special Economic Zone in an extent of 247 ha vide Gazette Notification
No.547 ,dated 10.5.2007
