A Letter from the President
November 1, 2015
Friends of Tibbits,
Welcome theatre lovers, historic preservationists, friends; each of you are in some way, all of the above.
The old girl we know and love as Tibbits has survived another year through your generous support. She
is old, still in need of help, but nonetheless proud and gracious to the thousands whom she welcomes
each year. Her needs are many; her demands are small. With ticket to professional shows across Michigan approaching the $100 mark, she shows you professional theatre and entertainment shows well
below market value. Why, because you generously make it possible through membership, donations,
gifts and loyalty.
This 36th annual auction is our way of celebrating our vital contribution to life in Branch County and
environs; a pleasant way of seeking your support. Our volunteer committee has worked hard and long
to make this a exciting and successful evening for you to enjoy, and in your enjoyment, share and give.
Thank them for their efforts, and thank you for your bids.
Now, close your eyes, click your heels three times and remember, you’re not in Kansas anymore. You
are here at Tibbits - at home.
Enjoy a cocktail, a snack, and open your hearts and wallets.
Thank you.
JR Colbeck, President
Tibbits Opera Foundation & Arts Council, Inc.
