05486 Tide Tables 2016.qxp_05486 Tide Tables—13773 10/11/2015 11:37 Page 1 Bristol City Docks CUMBERLAND BASIN TIDE TABLE 2016 The tidal predictions are Crown Copyright and have been computed and supplied by The Hydrographer of the Navy with the permission of the Controller of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office. Local times are used, i.e. G.M.T. or B.S.T. as stated. Heights of high water are given in metres and decimetres above the outer sill of the Entrance Lock. These are based on the predictions for ‘Avonmouth King Road’, with a variable height correction which has been derived from observations (deduction of approximately three metres). Stoppages of navigation occur: a. when stopgates at the Junction Lock are closed b. during rush-hour periods when road traffic has priority at the swingbridges It is frequently necessary to close the stopgates as much as half an hour earlier than the times stated and it is advised that craft intending to sail on STOPGATE tides should be in Cumberland Basin one hour before the stated time of closure. * Bank Holiday, no bridge embargo applied.
