Celebrity’s Caribbean
Celebrity’sCaribbean
Paradise found.
The Caribbean is our backyard, a place for which we have a deep affection. We’ve come to
appreciate each island and each stretch of spectacular coastline. And we can’t wait to introduce
you to every nuance. A Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean is more than a mere vacation from the
ordinary, it is an entrée into an extraordinarily complex tapestry of sensations — from bird watching
in Bonaire and snorkeling in the underwater worlds of wonder off Grand Cayman, to observing the
eclectic cultural mixes of places like St. Kitts and inhaling fragrant blossoms along the hillsides of
Grenada. Add the most amazing beaches in the world, and you have an undeniable paradise.
The Natural Choice for a Vacation
The Caribbean may be one of the world’s most pristine
environments. Beaches with sand the consistency and
color of fine sugar can stretch for miles in Barbados.
The tropical rainforests of Costa Rica are home to
monkeys playfully frolicking in the trees and a chorus
of birds in a myriad of vibrant shades. In the stunning
sapphire water that surrounds each island you’ll find
a wealth of wildlife — dolphins perform in the

waters, while beneath the surface a kaleidoscope of
vivid blue tang and angelfish dart in and out of
vibrant coral reefs in places like Tortola and Aruba.
Caribbean Pleasures
While the sun swept beaches of the Caribbean
will seduce you, it’s what you find inland that will
provide one unexpected surprise after another.
Venture along the well-marked trails leading out
from Roseau and Labadee® and in just a few
moments find yourself amidst the beauty of a
tropical rainforest. Follow in the footsteps of
marauding pirates and dig up your own treasures
in the bazaars of St. Thomas or St. Maarten. Or
browse through a Dominican gallery to uncover a
masterpiece you’ll never forget created by an artist
no one has ever heard of. Each Celebrity cruise to
the Caribbean is accompanied by guides with
extensive local knowledge who can help you unlock
all the islands’ secrets.

Caribbean
A Caribbean vacation with
Celebrity Cruises® is more than
a chance to see the islands, we’ll
take time to absorb each port’s
rich history and to appreciate the
beauty around us. And at each
stop along the way, you’ll have
ample opportunity to take advantage of shore excursions that will
take you beyond the beach —
either out into the water for
snorkeling or boating adventures
or into each island’s interior.

Caribbean Shore Excursions
Go from island to inland.
To fully appreciate the soul of these islands, take advantage of one of our shore excursions and
venture beyond the seductive beaches and rhythmic waves. There you’ll uncover the influences of
the early European settlers and the original inhabitants, perusing museums and gazing at stone
ruins in wonder. You can swim with dolphins, ascend into the rainforest canopy, or explore shipwrecks and coral reefs. And countless natural wonders like simmering volcanic vents, lush rainforests, and vast underground caves await. And of course, there is the energy and friendliness of
your local guides as well as the rest of the people you encounter along the way, an affability you’ll
have no trouble discovering.
• Swim with Trained Dolphins
(Bahamas)
• Explore the Rainforest Canopy (Costa Rica)
• Snorkel with Sea Turtles & Exotic Fish (Grand Cayman & Barbados)
• Take an Everglades Safari (Florida)
• Walk Through Caves
(Curaçao)
Swimming with dolphins; taking in the view on the skybridge in Costa Rica;
taking in the flavors of the islands.
EXPERIENCES OF A LIFETIME
We suggest booking your shore excursions
early. To view all shore excursion offerings and

Basseterre, St. Kitts
Bridgetown, Barbados
Cape Liberty, New Jersey
With a town square fashioned after
London’s Piccadilly Circus, St. Kitts blends
the gentrified feel of a European capital
with island ease. For centuries, the island
was well known as one of the region’s
largest producers of sugarcane.
While the surroundings and weather are
unmistakably Caribbean, the ambiance is
decidedly British. High tea is still served
nearly everywhere, examples of Victorian
architecture can be found throughout the
city, cricket is a national obsession, and
even the drivers observe the traditional
left-side-of-the-road traffic rules.
This cruise port, the first to be built in New
Jersey in 40 years, provides the perfect
setting to the beginning or end of any voyage.
From the vantage point of the deck, you can
look out over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge,
the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor, and
all of lower Manhattan.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: St. Kitts Scenic
Railway Tour
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Beautiful
Barbados & Colonial Plantation House, Barbados
Catamaran Sail & Snorkel
Ports of Call
Cartagena, Colombia
The old city of Cartagena projects the
feel of a picture-perfect, Spanish colonial
village with cathedrals like Iglesia de Santo
Domingo that dominate the skyline. Las
Bóvedas, the old military dungeons, have
been converted to shops, and the string of
fortresses provides the perfect vantage
points from which to enjoy the harbor.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Deluxe
Cartagena & Fortress, Old City Walking Tour
Casa de Campo,
Dominican Republic
Casa de Campo gracefully unites Old
World and New, with centuries-old
cobblestone streets just a short walk
from some of the Caribbean’s most
modern golf facilities. The indisputable
beauty of the island is brilliantly captured
by the residents of Altos de Chavón, a
local artists colony.
Castries, St. Lucia
Owing to its somewhat checkered past,
St. Lucia boasts both French and British
influences. Its famous twin peaks are
among the most startling geological
formations in the world, while the island’s
easily accessible and expansive coral reefs
make it a preferred destination for snorkelers.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Coastal Cruise
to the Pitons, Snorkeling Delight
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Water Eco
Adventure, Countryside Tour

Charlotte Amalie,
St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
If you’ve held off taking advantage of the
Caribbean’s duty-free shopping through this
point of your vacation, your patience has
been rewarded. Charlotte Amalie is filled
with shopping opportunities for everything
from Swiss watches and island rum to locally
made coral sculptures. If you’re in the
market for a bit of local history, visit
Blackbeard’s Castle in downtown
Charlotte Amalie.
Colón, Panama
Cozumel, Mexico
If you were to make a list of true historic
and engineering milestones, the Panama
Canal would surely be one of them. A
trip to Colón delivers you to the mouth
of the canal on its eastern end. It also
provided a glimpse of the world's largest
man-made lake, lying just beyond the
Gatún Locks.
Cozumel bills itself as having a Mexican
heart and a Caribbean soul. Located 12
miles east of the Yucatán Peninsula, its
coral reefs make it an underwater sanctuary
for hundreds of exotic fish species, while
the lush vegetation inland makes it a
haven for a range of tropical bird species.

Ports of Call
Cristobal Pier, Panama
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
One of the most popular ports of call found
on our Panama itineraries, Cristobal is the
perfect jumping off point for the cities of
Colón and Panama City. It’s a
popular stepping-off point for travelers
wishing to explore the many sights and
attractions in the interior of Panama and
along the coast.
Those who think Fort Lauderdale stands
in the shadow of Miami are in for a very
pleasant surprise. The city has matured
into a gracious destination with sophisticated cuisine, nightclubs, and a personality
all its own. The restaurants and shopping
along Las Olas Boulevard and Himmarshee
alone offer proof that Fort Lauderdale has
blossomed into something truly special, all
while retaining its youthful spirit.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Everglades
Airboat Ride (offered on day of disembarkation)
George Town,
Grand Cayman
Once a hideout for some of the most
notorious pirates in history, Grand
Cayman is now host to visitors eager to
peer into the almost extraterrestrial world
of Stingray City. National Geographic
named swimming among the rays as one
of the most rewarding experiences in the
undersea world.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Stingray City
Adventure, Nautilus Undersea Tour & Reef Snorkel,
Seaworld Explorer Glass-Bottom Boat
Key West, Florida
King’s Wharf, Bermuda
Kralendijk, Bonaire
Key West offers a perspective on life that
differs from that found anyplace else in the
U.S. Home to Ernest Hemingway and rumrunners, it’s now the site of a ritual enjoyed
by natives and visitors alike — the nightly
gathering on Mallory Docks to pay homage
to the most glorious sunset you may ever
experience.
Perched on the tip of Bermuda’s West End,
King’s Wharf is home to an impressive
Royal Navy Dockyard and a crafts market,
where local artists display their wares.
Nearby, Somerset Village boasts the
world’s smallest drawbridge, opening a
mere 22 inches – just wide enough to
accommodate a sailboat’s mast.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Key West
Homes & Gardens Tour, Boat & Kayak Eco
Adventure
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Scenic
Southern Shore by Taxi, Champagne Carriage
Ride for 2
Translated from Dutch, the language of
the original European settlers, Kralendijk
means “coral reef,” a tribute to the expansive
and dazzling underwater eco-system that
surrounds the entire island, which has been
designated a National Marine Park. The
name Bonaire, French for “good air,” hints at
the prime habitat for bird watching. Keep
your eyes peeled for 200 species of birds,
including the pink flamingo.

Labadee®, Haiti
Miami, Florida
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Haiti is a mountainous island, blanketed
in tropical foliage and exotic vegetation
accented with both French and Creole.
While the island may serve as a picturesque
playground for water-lovers, it’s also
easy to find places that make you feel as
if this were your own private natural
kingdom.
The beauty of South Beach’s art deco
architecture and sparkling beaches are
set against a rich backdrop provided by the
Latin flavor of the Cuban émigré community.
Come nightfall Miami doesn’t merely go
out, it enthusiastically celebrates the onset
of every evening with a passion that you’ll
find contagious.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: SeaTrek

Take a walk up into the tropical hillsides
overlooking Montego Bay and you can feel
the port city’s energy rise to meet you.

complete without a visit to the worldfamous Doctor’s Cave Beach, which is fed
by mineral springs.

Nassau, Bahamas
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Oranjestad, Aruba
Long after you return home, you’ll continue to
hear the sweet reverberations of Bahamian
steel drums, their carefree melodies transporting you to a place where you’re perpetually on vacation. They’ll provide a constant
and pleasant reminder of the sophisticated
dining and shopping, as well as the shallow
warm waters gently lapping at your feet.
Many visitors to Ocho Rios enjoy a hike up
Dunn’s River Falls, with only the seductive
rhythms of island reggae and knowledgeable guides accompanying you. On the
way you’ll pass through a series of limestone steps hidden beneath the rushing
water, stopping along the way for an occasional dip in one of the falls’ clear, terraced pools.
While the Dutch originally settled this
island paradise, the remnants of what they
brought along are flavored with the essence
of the Caribbean, an intermingling that
extends to everything from the cuisine to
the architecture. Don’t miss the charming
boutiques and tropical gardens, which
illustrate this European influence.

Ports of Call
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Puerto Limón, Costa Rica
Roseau, Dominica
St. Maarten has two sides — a French and
a Dutch — and countless faces. You can
stroll along the magnificent beaches for
hours, spend just as long browsing through
the endless French boutiques and duty-free
shops, or visit sights like the cliffs and
caves of Cupecoy Beach. This is an island
that truly offers something for everyone.
Columbus discovered Puerto Limón during
his fourth, and final, voyage to the New
World, saving the best for last. Trams will
transport you over the rainforest canopy
where you can search for fleeting glimpses
of emerald heliconid butterflies, poison dart
frogs in vibrant colors, and the flamboyant crimson and green quetzal, Central America’s most
colorful bird.
Access the largely untouched interior of
Dominica via an extensive network of
nature and hiking trails, which will take
you on an odyssey through the lush
landscape past waterfalls, clear-running
streams, and bubbling hot springs. If you’d
prefer swimming to hiking, try the worldclass scuba diving.

SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Full Day to San
José, Costa Rica Off-Road Adventure, Banana

SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Dominica

San Juan, Puerto Rico
St. George’s, Grenada
While San Juan is a vibrant, modern port
city, it also has one foot anchored proudly
in the past, dating back to its time as a
Spanish colonial outpost. Many of the old
structures, including forts and cathedrals,
date back to the early 16th century and
the conquest by Juan Ponce de León in
1508.
The seductive breezes that gently caress
this island do more than cool down
Grenada’s sultry afternoons. They carry a
bouquet of fragrances — from the island’s
many spice plantations, its sugarcane
fields, and its rum distilleries — enveloping
the landscape in a distinctive perfume.

Tortola,
British Virgin Islands
Besides being one of the most scenic islands
in the Caribbean, Tortola offers
a decidedly cultural and historical side.
Visitors who can pry themselves away from
its picture-perfect beaches frequently visit the
Virgin Islands Folk Museum, where they find
an extensive collection of the island’s ancient
plantation artifacts.
SHORE EXCURSIONS INCLUDE: Tortola

Island Snorkeling
Willemstad, Curaçao
A drive over the fabled Queen Juliana
Bridge, 185 feet above the turquoise waters
of the Caribbean, presents one of the most
breathtaking views of this former Dutch
colony. The island’s abundance of forts
belies its warm, welcoming nature, which
you’ll discover on a trip to the Old Market.
There, you can mingle with the local shoppers
and fishmongers, and even enjoy some fresh
grilled grouper or snapper.
