Funeral Services for Mr. Alexander (Al) Smith
Alexander Smith of Cameron,
North Carolina was family oriented, full
of life and vibrant in his daily life. He
was called to enter into the arms of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 23, 2008. He was born on September 9, 1936 in Harnett County, to the late
Joe Smith and Ruth Seaberry Smith.
One son, Sampson Smith and one
brother, Robert Smith preceded him in
death.
He leaves to celebrate his life: his
wife, Ms. Bertha Smith; two daughters,
Janice Signal of the home and Aleatha
Shinn (Jesse) of Dunn, North Carolina;
three sons, Joe F. Smith (Gwen) of Maury,
North Carolina, Cheyenne Smith of
Cameron, North Carolina and Alex
Smith, Jr. (Tiffany) of Cameron, North
Carolina; two grandsons/sons, Jerry A.
Walker and Stanley Signal of the home,
who felt that their grandfather was like
their own dad; one sister, Lois McLean
of Lillington, North Carolina; two brothers, Roy Smith (Freda) of Fayetteville,
North Carolina and Devone Smith of
Bunnlevel, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles
and friends; three faithful, loving, outstanding friends, Ms. Lillian Ford of
Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ms. Mary
Maraven of Laurinburg, North Carolina
and Norwell McNeill of Dunn, North
Carolina.
