Scrvcompound.com grandrv.org GRAND RVERS NEWS April 2010 Message from the President Beverly Dietz Welcome to April! What a glorious month -- one that should be abundant with vibrant flowers all over the valley. TIME CHANGE: Our April 20th meeting will begin at 4:30 in the Agua Fria Room at Cimarron. This early start will allow us time to enjoy pizza and music. Check out the Entertainment Committee's article for more details. Our thanks to John Stewart and Dave Dallaire for our new directories. We are truly appreciative of all the hard work to prepare and print these valuable resources for our club. Guests are always welcome at our meetings. If you are bringing guests, please be sure they sign in at the membership desk before the meeting starts. Some information from the Presidents' Meeting: • The Grand Times is now available on-line. Go to Grandinfo.com and click on Communications. • • • • • From the drop-down menu, select Grand Times and the latest edition will be at the top of the page. Census forms can be found on line. The form may say Sun City instead of Surprise. This is a typo. If you are here on April 1, you need to fill out the form here. Forms will not be forwarded from state to state. If you have questions, check out the City of Surprise web site. Office Max discount cards may be found on Grandinfo.com. In the search box, type in Office Max. You will be able to pull up and print out the form. The first time you use it, take it to the Customer Service area and they will cut it and laminate it for you. PostNet on Grand Avenue near Safeway also offers discounts to SCG residents. Take your SCG CAM card with you the first time you go. New color maps of SCG are available at Membership, Activites, and the Welcome Center. The $1.00 charge will help offset the cost of printing. SCG Directory forms are available on the web site and in the Grand Times. Even if you are already listed in any other SCG directory, you must fill out a new form if you want to be in the newest SCG directory. Enjoy our spring weather. See you at 4:30 on April 20th. Grand RVers April 2010 Page 2 Scrvcompound.com grandrv.org Message from Trip Directors Dick Williams and Dan Foss Well, well, this RV winter is almost over but not done. Many RV club members will abandon SCG and leave for the summer. However, before you leave, check out the web site to review the exciting rallies that have been planned (see pictures above for a small sample). We still need your suggestions for new trips. The “Ideas Needed” cards will still be available at the next two meetings. So put on your thinking caps and put some suggestions on a card. No ideas means no trips. At the first meeting in the fall we will have all the ideas listed so you can select your favorite rally destinations. Please remember that you may sign up for rallies on the web site. Also, if you have signed up for a rally & cannot attend the rally, please delete your name on the web site or call the wagon master. See you at the April meeting.
