The Lake Township Trustees held a regular meeting Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Trustee Welling called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. Roll call: Richard P. Welling-Present, Melanie R. Bowen-Present, Jeffery A. Pettit-Absent, Vicki Schwamberger-Present The Minutes of the February 3, 2015meeting were approved. Reports; Zoning: Roads: Cemetery: Police: EMS & Fire: Parks: Correspondence: Road Mileage Certification from Wood County Engineer-needs to be signed 2015 Turnpike Mitigation Program Applications from Ohio Department of Transportation Letter from the Wood County Planning regarding Block Grant Program E-mail from Sue Glass Future Meetings and Events: During the winter snow months, whenever snow fall exceeds two (2) inches a "No Parking on Township Streets" rule shall apply. Also Lake Township residents are strongly advised not to push driveway/sidewalk accumulated snowfall onto Township roads after said roads have been cleared. Bluegrass Music Nights: March 13-Bridge County Bluegrass. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. Liver Transplant Fundraiser-Pancake Breakfast- for Clarence Wilburn will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until Noon, at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19225 W. Witty Road at State Route 51, Elmore, Ohio. Lake Township Fire Department Reverse Raffle will be held on 02/21/2015 at the Millbury Fireman's Hall. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be March 21, 2015 at Lake Township Administration Building from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 with egg hunt starting at 11:15 a.m. New Business: Starting Resolution will be #25-2015 Trustee Bowen moved to pay the following bills: Warrant # 74611 through Warrant # 74700 and EFT 46-2015 through 48-2015 for a total sum of $216,883.08. Seconded by Mr. Welling Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Trustee Bowen moved that Lake Township Trustees, Wood County, Ohio acknowledge the following reports have been received and reviewed and agree same have been appropriately accounted for the month of January 2015. Expenditure Summary Report Fund Summary Report Revenue Summary Report Warrant Register Support Employee Summary Report Checking Account Reconciliation Seconded by Mr. Welling Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Trustee Welling moved to select the following Township Representatives and Alternates to the District 5 Integrating Committee: Representatives: Herbert Retcher, Rusty Goebel, and Larry Burkholder. Alternates: Bruce Col well, Berdon Short and Leonard Richer. Discussion: These are OPWC Representatives for our District. Seconded by Ms. Bowen Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Trustee Bowen moved to adopt Resolution # 25-15 Whereas, the Jeep Grand Cherokee used by the Lake Township Police Department, Unit L24, required emergency repairs-electrical problems, so Therefore, be it resolved, that the Lake Township Trustees approve the sum of $1,762.13 for emergency repairs to police unit L-24 to Rouen Jeep, 1091 Fremont Pike, P.O. Box 185, Woodville, Ohio 43469. Seconded by Mr. Welling Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Trustee Welling moved to adopt Resolution # 26-15 Whereas, the 2004 Dump Truck used by the Lake Township Road Department required emergency repairs-throttle/electronic problems, so Therefore, be it resolved, that the Lake Township Trustees approve a sum not to exceed $3,000.00 for the 2004 Dump Truck. Seconded by Mr. Welling Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Fire Department Issues: Trustee Bowen moved to adopt Resolution # 27-15 Whereas, Lake Township Fire Chief Bruce Moritz has requested the Trustees purchase four (4) Mustang Ice Commander Suits to be used in cold water rescues. The suits are used to protect emergency personnel during cold water rescues in harsh winter environments, so Therefore, be it resolved, that the Lake Township Trustees approved the purchase of four (4) Mustang Ice Commander Suits used for cold water rescues from Michigan Rescue Concepts, 27583 Pratt Road, Richmond Twp., Michigan for the sum of $2,760.00. Seconded by Mr. Welling Roll Call: Bowen-yes, Welling-yes, Pettit-absent Trustee Welling moved to adopt Resolution # 28-15 Whereas, Lake Township Fire Chief Bruce Moritz has requested the Lake Township Trustees authorize sending four (4) Lake Township Fire Fighters to Fire Officer I Training to teach Company Officer Principals, so Therefore, be it resolved, that the Lake Township Trustees authorize sending four (4) Lake Township Fire Fighters to a 72 hour Fire Officer I class held at the Perrysburg Township Fire Department. The Fire Officer I classes are taught through Bowling Green State University.
