DAY 2 - BUENOS AIRES Upon arrival this morning in Buenos Aires, after clearing customs and collecting your luggage, meet your guide and transfer to Malabia House. This afternoon take a drive through the different areas of this interesting and exciting city. This evening a welcome dinner will celebrate the beginning of your tour. (D) DAY 3 - BUENOS AIRES Explore the zoo, public parks, and fascinating cemetery of Buenos Aires, including Jardin Japones, Rosedal, Jardin Botanico Carlos Thays, Jardin Zoologico, and Cementerio de la Recoleta. Enjoy a café lunch and the evening at leisure to sample the incredible food, wine, and entertainment of Buenos Aires. Overnight at Malabia House Hotel. (BL) DAY 4 - BUENOS AIRES Travel to several plant nurseries in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. Ruta de la Flor, Escobar, Buenos Aires, is home to over seven excellent wholesale nurseries such as Orquideas Saito, Vivero Hisaki, and Vivero Sawatani. Spend time with the owners and managers of these nurseries, learning of their type of operations, exportation, and the challenges facing the industry. This evening, witness an amazing performance of music and dance - tango - at Piazzolla Tango. Overnight at Malabia House Hotel. (BLD) DAY 5 - SALTA This morning transfer to the Buenos Aires Municipal Airport and fly to Salta. Upon arrival in Salta transfer to your accommodations. The afternoon is free to settle in and discover the magic of La Casa de Los Jazmines. Overnight at La Casa de Los Jazmines. (BD) DAY 11 - BARILOCHE Embark on a boating trip across the beautiful lakes that form part of the famous Lake District shared between Chile and Argentina. There will also be an opportunity to explore Parque Nacional Los Arrayanes. Los Arrayanes was created in 1971 to protect its forest of the rare arrayán trees, Luma apiculata. Maiten, coihue (southern beeches), lenga, nire, and colorful shrubs such as notro and chilco are also found in these forests. Overnight at Llao Llao Resort and Spa. (B) DAY 13 - IGUAZU FALLS This morning ytransfer to the airport for the flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel,the perfectly situated Sheraton Internacional Iguazu Resort. This afternoon take a boat tour of the falls from the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. A memorable experience and a spectacle of nature, Iguazu Falls are considered a wonder of the world. Overnight at Sheraton Internacional Iguazu Resort. (B) DAY 14 - IGUAZU NATIONAL PARK This morning you will visit the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. Later transfer to Yacutinga Lodge, deep in the forests of Iguazu National Park. Overnight at Yacutinga Lodge (BD) DAY 15 - IGUAZU NATIONAL PARK Begin the day early to make the most of the immense nature around you - a quick breakfast and then out to the boats for a quiet float along the San Francisco stream, into the nature reserve of Yacutinga. Return to the lodge for an early lunch. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at Yacutinga Lodge (BLD) DAY 16 - IGUAZU NATIONAL PARK Spend the day at leisure to explore the forests with guides or on your own. Overnight at Yacutinga Lodge (BLD) DAY 6 - SALTA Begin to explore northern Argentina’s fascinating ecosystems at Parque Nacional Los Cardones. Continue to the winery town of Cafayate, the hub of one of the country’s key wine regions. Later transfer to the hotel for a night at leisure. Overnight at La Casa de Los Jazmines. (BLD) DAY 17 - BUENOS AIRES Transfer to the Iguazu Falls Airport for your morning flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to the Malabia House and take some time to relax before celebrating your time in Argentina with another dinner and exciting tango show. Overnight at Malabia House Hotel (BD) DAY 7 - SALTA Spend today in Parque Nacional Calilegua, located 150km north of Salta and featuring the most accessible hiking trails in this wellprotected area of Yungas ecosystem. Your guided walks along the forest paths will lead you to pristine areas of lush vegetation, streams, pools and cliffs, which afford wonderful views and good opportunities for finding rare and shy birds like the antpitta. Overnight at La Casa de Los Jazmines. (BLD) DAY 18 - FAREWELL! Enjoy a day at leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight back to the United States. (B) DAY 8 - ESQUEL This morning transfer to the airport and fly to Esquel in Northern Patagonia. Upon arrival transfer to Cumbres Blancas Hosteria, an authentic Patagonian inn. Esquel is a tranquil town with wide avenues divided by densely planted medians, and is the gateway to Parque Nacional Los Alerces. The late afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax and enjoy the amenities at Cumbres Blancas. Overnight at Cumbres Blancas Hosteria. (BD) DAY 9 - ESQUEL Spend the day in Parque Nacional Los Alerces, home of the Patagonian cypress. In addition to the alerce, the park’s other conifers include the Chilean incense cedar and the Guaiteca cypress. Travel through the park by vehicle, boat rides across mountain lakes, and hiking trails. Overnight at Cumbres Blancas Hosteria. (BLD) DAY 10 - BARILOCHE Travel north to San Carlos de Bariloche.
