To Reach and Uplift All People
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA & NORTHERN NEVADA Founded in 1896 by social reformers Maud and Ballington Booth, Volunteers of America is a national, faith-based nonprofit whose mission is to reach and uplift all people and bring them to the knowledge and active service of God. Volunteers of America meets people where they are, helping individuals and families develop the tools to be self-reliant. We work toward this goal by developing programs and services to address the root causes of homelessness and poverty, and uplift our neighbors in need, whether they are just starting on their journey, or are already on the road to recovery.
