Colin K. Okashimo and Associates
A research based landscape architectural and masterplanning design firm that specializes in gardens and environments of contemplation,
meditation and reflection. Incorporated in 1996, we are a staff of three associate directors and ten professionals based in Singapore doing
projects in China, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Singapore, and Thailand. We continually collaborate with international architects,
interior designers, specialists and academic institutions throughout the world to ensure our work is critical and rigorous in its content and delivery.

This is the sculpture studio of artist Colin K. Okashimo who was educated in fine arts at Chelsea College of Fine Arts and Design in London,
UK. Located in Singapore, he proposes and realizes three dimensional artworks exclusively for the landscape environments designed by
Colin K. Okashimo and Associates. His sculptures are fabricated in stone, ceramics, bronze, stainless steel and glass and reinforce notions of
calm and quiet in landscape environments.

Situated on two beaches on the island of Mahe, this 120 Ha site overlooks the National Marine
Park of Port Launay. The masterplan and landscape design for 225 suites and 53 villas
required protecting a number of rare and exotic plants including a mangrove reserve.

Two spas of 15 treatment rooms are set within a tropical garden environment of 7,000 sq. meters.
Warm and cool jacuzzis, water lounges, kneipp foot pools, water cascades, hamam, sauna, reflexology
path, yoga and rest pavilions surround a central reflecting pool that holds the focus of the spa.

This 15 Hectare resort fronts a 2 Km long pristine beach on the eastern side of Mauritius. Two 18hole championship golf courses are located in 140 hectares of adjacent land. The resort features

Located in the North Ari atoll it was masterplanned to simulate the curve of the Maldivian boat (dhoni). The
resort consists of 57 water villas and 20 beach villas each with their own plunge pools. Other facilities
include the all day dining restaurant, resort pool, sand beach bar, specialty restaurant, beach grill and spa.

This 105 unit luxury condominium is in the heart of the city and faces KLCC Pertronas Towers. It comprises a total of
seven 20 storey towers with the second storey devoted to an environment of relaxation, exercise and an appreciation of
the arts. Park Seven was awarded the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Award in 2010 in the residential high rise category.

Five Stones comprises of five towers – three low rise villas and two high rise condominiums ranging from 4 -38 storeys on a
2hectare site. . The masterplanning and landscape was done to ensure that a maximum number of units have views towards
the landscape. The project was named after the artworks done by Dr. Okashimo by the same title “Five Stones- 2005’.

Bhd. It is a high rise development of 290 units with a landscape environment that provides a unique
series of spaces and elements that bring human scale and a sense of retreat to the residents.

‘sculpture trail’ of 8 sculptures done by 5 local and regional artists. Dr. Okashimo was commissioned
to both design the landscape and complete 3 stone sculptures in granite, marble and sandstone.

Located at the top end of Orchard Road, there are two 18-storey and one 8-storey block within a
1.7Ha landscape garden that focuses on being simple yet memorable in its impact. There is a
liberating sense of space and light for the 164 units looking onto sprawling grounds of lush landscape,
outdoor glass pavilions and a 40 meter lap pool.

An exclusive private residence where the wish of the client was a personal retreat with the
sound of water and a feeling of utmost privacy and solitude. The stone artworks follow the
principles of geomancy for this site as determined by a local feng shui consultant.
