1951, when 10 children with a disability were educated by their
parents on the verandah of an old Queenslander in Brisbane.
Staying true to our legacy, our beautiful 63rd Anniversary

63 year history
of wonderful support
Endeavour Foundation has supported people with
a disability for 63 years.
It was started by a group of parents educating their children on
the verandah of a house in Brisbane in 1951. Their foresight and
tenacity is still an inspiration for the organisation, which is backed
by thousands of wonderful supporters, donors, and volunteers.
Lottery supporters, for example, raise funds for our At Home
With Choices construction program which is building modern
houses for people with a disability.
Endeavour Foundation now provides person-centred support
in more than 4,000 placements from more than 230 locations
in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. These include
accommodation, education, employment, training, and lifestyle
opportunities, ensuring that people with a disability have the
opportunity to make the choices of an ordinary life.
