Minute by Minute
by Floyd Crow
The July meeting was well attended with a turnout of about
26. Charlie Storer and Floyd Crow presided in the absence of
the president.
Floyd read the treasury report in the absence of the treasurer.
There were no comments or objections.
On this year’s rally, Floyd gave a full account of the reasons
for changing the location and described the layout of the park
and all it's positive points. There were a few questions but no
real negative comments.
An announcement was made about the August meeting and
the special drawing of "Goodies", the only questions were are
the goodies going to be worth coming too the meeting for?
ABSOLUTELY!
John Long brought up David Handley’s accident. He gave a
talk about the fact Handley did not have any identification on
his person and made it very difficult for the DPS and EMS to
take proper action for the body. From an ER stand point it
must be almost impossible to make the proper decisions on
handling this type of case. John noted there are identification
decals which can be purchased from Whitehorse Gear and
Dog Tags from Tuffcase on line, that can have all the information that is needed for DPS and Medical personal. Another
discussion will be at the August meeting.
Kathy Sanderson (representing STARS) gave a pitch on the up
coming "Bikers Against Diabetes" Ride in September. She
handed out some information and gave a quick rundown on
the event.
The new "Et Cetera" was a hit. There were questions why the
newsletter was dropped. The response was that no one wants
to take it over on a regular basis. Any volunteers? No.
There were no guests. We voted in one new member, Doron S.
Grudo.
Mike White won the 50/50 pot, $21 dollars.
Without further fan fare we adjourned.
We need volunteers to help with our annual rally. Whether you’re attending or not,
you can participate. Please contact Klaus
Seeger, Floyd Crow or Beverly Ruffin and
let one of us know what you will do.
Don’t make us have to call you!

Ken Webb at a roadside park along the Rio Grande Gorge between Taos
and Santa Fe. Taken on a trip to Taos, Santa Fe, Mesa Verde National
Park, and then Ouray Colorado, in June. “I could head out west and never
come back,” he laments.
