As a business owner, what motivates you each day—even on the “hard” days? Everyone has had those days, when nothing seems to go as planned, finances are tight, business is decreasing and your personal life is not even cooperating. Here are some tips to keep you motivated and moving. 1. Keep it in perspective. It may be rough now, but it has not been nor will it always be difficult. 2. Keep up your exercise routine. Exercising keeps stress hormones down that affect attention and thinking. 3. Avoid negative people. Stay away from those people who speak negative words to you. Do not even allow yourself to speak or think negatively. Surround yourself with people that encourage and support you. 4. Keep networking. As difficult as it may sound, networking can increase your business. People enjoy doing business with people they know. Now is not the time to hide out at the office. Stay social and keep networking. Motivate yourself to attend our next mixer, Thursday June 19, 2014, at Cleveland-Ripley Neighborhood Center on Fairmont from 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Valerie Revilla PHBC Chairperson PHBC is committed to assist, support and empower Hispanic businesses and community through entrepreneurial development and leadership.
