There are four ore bodies that have been delineated as JORC compliant resources (Reforma, El Largo, El Rey and Naranjo). Production at Campo Morado has been suspended since Q1 2015 due to ongoing issues associated with security in the region. HISTORY Campo Morado mine is located in the municipality of Arcelia, State of Guerrero, about 160 kilometres southwest of Mexico City. The property consists of 12,000 hectares in six mining concessions in a place that has historically been an important mining district in this region of Mexico. According to history, Campo Morado was discovered in 1885 and after a few years of exploration, it started operations. It is a mine with an extensive history, it was key in some historical periods of Mexico such as the Mexican Revolution, providing metal for coinage. In January 2011, Nyrstar acquired Farallon Mining LTD, owner of Campo Morado mine at that time. Since that year, Nyrstar has managed it. Campo Morado produced significant amounts of zinc and copper, with contents associated with precious metals like gold and silver. The daily production capacity before suspension was 2,200 tonnes.
