Beginners should seek advice for pre-flight adjustments and assembly from more experienced fliers. Be aware that flying a badly assembled or badly adjusted aircraft is very dangerous! •At the start, first-time fliers should always be assisted by an experienced flier and NEVER fly alone! •This model aircraft is designed to be powered by either a 2 stroke .40 ~ .46 size engine or a 4 stroke .48 ~ .53 size engine. Installing a more powerful engine than specified or flying this model dangerously could lead to serious injury and/or damage to property. Cut off shaded portion. Drill holes with the specified diameter (here: 2mm). Pay close attention here! Do not overlook this symbol! Must be purchased separately! 14 Assemble left and right sides the same way. Warning! Non-observance of this information could lead to serious injury and/or damage to property. Pre-Flight Checks Flying After Flying Do not fly your aeroplane if it is a windy day or there are strong cross winds. Always land your airplane into the wind. Safety Precautions Always regulate the engine from behind, but never from infront or from the sides, because a rotating propeller might badly injure you. Only fly model aeroplanes in areas away from houses and places where people gather. The weight and speed of your aeroplane make it a potential hazard. Make sure that the area around you is clear. Fill the fuel tank. Bring your airplane to a halt by lowering the engine control trim. For radio equipment, refer to the instruction manual included with your set. Do not allow watching people to get too close to a rotating propeller. After each flight, the engine is hot. Beware of getting burned. Check that the spinner and the propeller are securely fastened. By moving the various transmitter controls, ensure that all control surfaces move the way you intend them to. If the model begins to operate by itself, there is another transmitter operating on your frequency. Do not try to operate your model if this happens, but change your transmitter and receiver crystals to another frequency. Switch off the receiver. Move the throttle control stick on the transmitter and check that the carburettor opens and closes easily. Switch off the transmitter. Fully extend transmitter aerial. Switch on the transmitter. Immediately disuse defective propellers as well as deformed spinners. If the batteries of the radio system are flat, replace them with new ones. To start the engine, set low throttle on the transmitter and hold the engine starter against the spinner. Switch on engine starter. Draw the remaining fuel out of the tank and fill it back into the can Do not fly your airplane above people standing around. Adjust the throttle needle. Switch on the receiver. Wipe up any fuel deposits or dirt. Check that the wings are properly and firmly affixed. Never throw burning, gleaming or smouldering things into fuel cans, even if these happen to be empty. This could result in serious injury. Launch the aeroplane into the wind. Only use KYOSHO genuine parts. TEL.046-229-4115 65670007-1 PRINTED IN CHINA
