We are located aprox. 800mts (15 minutes walking) close to Playa Avellanas.
The beachwalk leads through a magnific mangroove and ends at the famous Rivermouth (Estero) next to Little
Hawaii and the beachbreaks of Avellanas, perfect spots for surfing or just to enjoy the crystal clear pacific ocean.
Since the mangroove is a protected area, you will find no buildings at the whole beach. Therefore Playa Avellanas is
truly one of the most beautiful and relaxed beaches of Costa Rica.

A good Yoga Studio is only 500m away at the beach. Other nearby options are in Tamarindo and Playa Negra (ask

Very consistent all year round.
Smaller but still perfect shaped waves from Dec. - April with offshore winds most of the time.
Bigger and more consistent waves from May - November with offshore or glassy conditions in the mornings and
after rain showers.

We are situated only a 1 hour drive from the international airport of Liberia and just 20 minutes away from the
famous Tamarindo (Endless Summer II). Here you can find good restaurants, nightlife and convenient services
(supermarkets, banks, farmacies, shops, dentists, etc.).
Avellanas is a quiet pueblo with very good waves at the beach and has around 50 inhabitants. If you arrive at night
you might get scared of the howl of a howler monkey and you'd think is a 1 ton Gorilla, yes it can happen but the
next morning you'd wake up at the sound of countless birds (and monkeys) not to be found in New York, Roma,
Munich, Mexico City or Rio de Janeiro.
And not to mention the good waves we have in the area all year round. You have 6 very consistent surfbreaks in
Playa Avellanas itself plus nearby Playa Negra, Tamarindo and Playa Grande. Other options are a boattrip to
Witches Rock and Ollies Point or to explore the beaches 1 hour to the south.

Cancellations must be requested in writing and are valid only with confirmation sent by Las Avellanas villas.
Cancellations received 29-15 days prior to arrival will cause one night penalty.
No refunds for cancellations 14-0 days before arrival
NEW YEAR SEASON (Dec 24 - Jan 1)
Payment of 50% must be received by Dec 01.
Full payment to be held on arrival.
No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. We recommend travel insurance.
For Easter week, Christmas and New Year‘s Eve, the minimum stay is 4 nights
