FIELD]. This is a fabulous watercolor by Gorey. Untitled, it measures 7 x 7 1/2”,
unsigned. Depicted is a nightime scene in a field. In the foreground are 2 men
(one in a suit and one in a turleneck sweater) pointing to an object on the ground
next to a tree stump. They appear to be oblivious to the flying saucer that is
sitting in the field behind them! Done with Gorey’s characteristic minute detail
and quite wonderful.
