Summer is winding down and probably by the time you read this, the children will be back in school. We must say, the older we get the faster the seasons slip by, it seems. Looks like we’ll have a bumper crop with all the nice rain and sunshine we’ve had… We were blessed with another new grandbaby when Travis Kordell was born to son Steven and Emmylou. This makes 2 happy sisters and 1 brother. Even though he is only 3 weeks old, at this writing, he has already been to the store to visit. This brings our total grandchildren to 10. Some of our highlights of the summer included visitors from far away lands. We were visited by a family from Kenya and also a family from Saudi Arabia. They have come to visit on several occasions while visiting their son at Kutztown Univeristy. Even though some of our visitors did not speak English, and we did not speak their language, we were able to communicate fairly well through interpreters and hand motions.
