BY VALLOIRE
Located at the foot of the famous Galibier pass, Valloire is a traditional Savoyard village
which became a ski resort in 1936. Since the first hotels opened and the first lifts were
built, Valloire has grown into a ski resort of international standards while retaining its
authenticity and friendliness. Built around a baroque church, Valloire, with its 17 hamlets,
always charms its visitors. The resort has 70 shops, 19 bars, 23 restaurants, multiple pubs
and a disco.
Linked to its neighbour resort Valmeinier, Valloire offers a large and varied ski area called
Galibier-Thabor. It is a family-friendly ski resort which offers excellent value for money
