D D DINING WITH DISTINCTION 2016 PRO GRA MM E www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES Dining with Distinction is so much more than just a foodie experience, it is a nostalgic voyage into the past to sample the prestige and glamour of a 1920s dining train. D D A MESSAGE FROM OUR Attention to detail is paramount and every little element, from the crisp white table linen to the bespoke dinnerware, adds up to an unforgettable quality experience. DINING MANAGER Allow me to take the opportunity to introduce you to our Dining with Distinction services, where our aim is to re-create the grandeur and sophistication of dining by train. From the moment you board our Orient Express style carriages you will begin a gastronomic journey back in time to the golden age of steam. Delivering first class service is at the heart of what we do, and we often find that it is those special little touches that keep our diners coming back time and time again. Diners will be greeted by our Dining Manager and enjoy a red carpet welcome before being seated and introduced to their personal waiter for the night who will endeavour to ensure that their every whim is catered for. Our vintage Pullman style carriages, with their polished marquetry and sumptuous upholstery, provide an impressive vantage point to admire the picturesque scenery as it meanders by. PROUD OF OUR ROOTS The East Lancashire Railway has been an integral part of Lancashire for over 100 years, and the pride we take in our home county is evident in our menus, carefully designed to encompass our passion for seasonal, locally sourced, quality produce. We have a multitude of dining options available, from a four course fine dining evening to a great value two course lunch, where we pride ourselves on using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Our well stocked bar has a variety of wines, spirits and beers, including real ales. Champagne is also available for those truly special moments. A FIRST CLASS AFFAIR We are delighted to receive the region’s most prestigious dining accolade, the Taste Lancashire Highest Quality Assured Award which recognises the importance of the food and drink industry to the area, as well as celebrating those that deliver a consistently high quality experience. Whatever your occasion or appetite, enjoy a taste of luxury with a Dining with Distinction experience. My team and I look forward to welcoming you on board.
