Screen changer 4 35 In the field of extrusion of any type of plastics, contaminants in molten materials are inacceptable, they do not only influence the quality of product, but also render the process more difficult. Therefore, it is important to assure perfect filtration without decreasing the quality of molten material. It can be made thanks to : • • • • • Drainage Rotary moulding (barrels, containers) Injection moulding Extrusion Foaming (polystyrene foam) The process of plastics melting itself using an extruder or injector is a relatively easy process, the omission of filtration process is the one that so often cause many technologic troubles. Bad chosen system forces us to stop the production, disassemble the support of filter screen, change the screen and restart production once again. Flow ducts of very good flow quality, thanks to which it is suitable to all types of thermoplastics and many special applications. APPLICATION: • In the process in which changes on filter screen are rarely needed. CONTINOUS SCREEN CHANGER CHARACTERISTICS: Screen changers Continuous operation means that, in the changer the piston which remains in the casing has good enough capacity to handle complete material flow. After the screen change, air bleeding takes place in order to avoid closed air which would disturb filtration. APPLICATION: • • • Two round items of parallel filter screens on separate piston (rule of two changer pistons) Material output according to size vary between 5 to 26.000 kg / h Flow ducts are very good and suitable to almost all types of thermoplastics 39 Screen changers: one and two piston AUTOMATIC SELF-CLEANING SCREEN CHANGER CHARACTERISTICS: In order to increase considerably filter’s life-span, we offer automatic screen changers with self-cleaning function. These systems work as follows: When the level of contamination is reached, the automatic screen back washing is turned on. Next, the contamination are disposed from the device through a an overflow duct. Contaminated mass is disposed through heating outlet pipes which are installed in the changer casing. 40 Screen changers: slide plate Slide screen changer, called also disc screen changer. It is adjusted to cooperate with single and twin screw extruders. PVC granulation The line consists of : • Screen changers, thanks to which our final product is cleaned from contamination before granulation head. We specialize in regenerating worn-out and damaged elements. Thanks to many years of our experience, our products are characterized by high quality and customers’ satisfaction. We possess a construction office (CAD systems based on Solid Works 3D program) and we provide consulting services within technical solutions and machine facilities in plastic processing industry with the emphasis on filtration process. We repair as well as select new details based on damaged, worn-out or presented in the customer’s documentation ones.
